THE BRECKS COUNTRY CODETake care of the Brecks; take care of yourselfRoads - Beware fast traffic on straight Brecks roads.Take great care when crossing or turning right andwatch out for deer and wildlife on verges andcrossing roads. Fire - Guard against all risk of fire. The Brecks canbe tinder dry in summer. Ticks - Guard against tick bites which may carryLyme Disease. Remove any embedded ticks with agentle, twisting pull using tweezers. Dogs - Keep dogs under close control. They canbe a serious menace to sheep, deer and otherwildlife. Snakes - Adders may bite dogs and humans ifalarmed. Keep calm and seek prompt medical

attention if bitten. Military Activity - Stanford Training Area is usedday and night by the Army for live firing. Beprepared for sudden troop movements and loudnoises. Car Thieves - Don’t leave your valuables in view.Flints - Flints can be razor sharp. Don’t forget yourbicycle puncture repair kit.
