�  Current Cash Balance as of September 7, 2018 is $92,881.44 �  Large Surplus Balance due to Band Registration, Kennywood Ticket Sales, and 2

Home Football Games. �  Kennywood Ticket Sales

�  Revenue through August was $20,925. This is substantially less than the past few years. (Net Profit unknown, as payment for tickets has not yet been made.)

�  Concessions and Candy Stand �  IMG Academy Game - August 24, 2018 - Total Sales $5,218.56 �  Hempfield Game - September 1, 2018 - Total Sales $4,118.80 �  Sales from Hempfield Game adversely impacted by lower attendance

�  Preparing for Audit of 2017 – 2018 Fiscal Year, which was mainly under Dan Kerr, previous treasurer �  Currently have volunteers to conduct the audit �  Anticipate completing the audit by September 30, 2018

�  PRSD Policy 915 �  All annual Policy 915 items will be submitted to Mrs. Bowman for

approval by September 30 deadline �  2017-2018 IRS Tax Filing

�  Due November 15, 2018

Band Trailer Purchase Update

Replacing the Old Trailer New Trailer Ordered

Production is almost complete Delivery on Friday, September 21, or the following week

Customization with Graphics & Shelving Installation after Delivery Trailer Balance and Outfitting will total approximately $15,000

Special thanks again to Chris Rudolph for his continued assistance with this

endeavor and for assuming the Trailer Maintenance Chair Position.

Band Trip �  Trip to Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida,

approved by the PRSD School Board.

�  Depart Wednesday, April 10 (afternoon) and Return Sunday, April 14 (evening). Band performance is on Friday, April 12.

�  Spring Trip is optional, but majority of students do attend. This year, chorus and orchestra travel with the band.

�  Students individually responsible for cost of their trip. Student cost for this Florida trip is estimated at $1,498. (Cost on non-Florida years significantly cheaper, since no planes needed.)

�  Trip Commitment Form and Initial Deposit of $250 payable to travel agent “EMA” due Thursday, September 20. See website for details and itinerary.

�  Please direct special questions to Mr. Scott or Trip Coordinators, Donna Stephenson and Crystal Welker.

Note: Next trip to Florida won’t be for three years.

“Orange Ribbon Tribute” Game �  Annual game to honor Kyle is this Friday,

September 14

�  Supports PROF Scholarship in Memory of Kyle Pomerleau. Donations collected at the stadium.

�  Student Section wears orange as do many of the fans

�  Band students, staff, and cheerleaders wear orange ribbons. Additional ribbons available alongside donation collection boxes in stadium.

�  PRBB committed to supporting the scholarship with an annual minimum contribution goal of $1000.

�  Additional PROF Kyle Pomerleau Scholarship Fundraising through Bake Sales at Winter and Spring Concerts.

Upcoming Fundraisers �  Fall Raffle kicks off soon! Drawing at final regular season home

game on October 19. Huge opportunity to raise significant funds. Please sell as many tickets as you can. Still seeking prizes if you have something to donate.

�  Candy Bars being distributed at events throughout the season in return for a $5 donation. To date, PRBB earned $2,556.65! 224(of 600) bars and 37(of 100) pretzels remain. Take box of 12 home tonight for discounted price of $50 or buy two bags of pretzels, get one free!

�  Spiritwear Fall Sale deadline is Friday, October 12, with early November delivery.

�  Pie Sale back in October with delivery in time for Thanksgiving.

�  Z-Roni Pepperoni Roll Sale in January with February 1 delivery date in time for Superbowl on February 3.

In Review �  Medical/Emergency Treatment Consent Forms Thanks for

sending in forms. Medical chaperones use throughout year, so let us know if there are changes or updates.

�  Pool Party Pool Party was a huge success! Thanks to chairs Beth Ahearn and Kristin Barcaskey and our wonderful volunteers!

�  Pine-Richland Kennywood Day Thanks to Kennywood chaperones. Literally rained on our parade, but kids had fun despite the weather.

�  Kennywood Ticket Sales Sale is over for the season. Thanks to Christine Krill for chairing!

�  Chick-fil-A® Cranberry & Wexford Food Credit Rewards Current balance of $1,016.77. Accumulated food credits were used for Chick-fil-A® at pool party. Additional credits will be used at future band events and/or fundraisers. Keep collecting and turning in receipts!

�  Thanks to all of you! With over 250 band members, it takes a lot of volunteers to make things work! Special thanks to our special teams…

�  Concessions and Candy Stand are vital fundraisers, so always buy from the right side as you enter stadium. Many options and shifts available, including Thursday morning volunteers needed to assist with Pepsi order delivery. Still need clean up volunteers at concessions, just not candy.

�  SignUp.com for volunteers. Openings communicated via email and website. If you need to change/cancel your volunteer commitment, please do so online so that volunteer openings are current on the site. If unable to volunteer at last minute, please contact chair directly.

Volunteer Update

�  Special keepsake created as a gift to Marching Band seniors contains a one-page biography of each senior, section pictures candid photos, plus senior ads and business ads.

�  Please contact chair Jill Baxter if you are interested and able to assist with production.

�  Every senior receives one complimentary copy of the book at Senior Night. Additional copies available for $10 each. See website for order form. Extra book orders due Wednesday, October 3.

�  If you wish to purchase a business or personal ad, use website to access forms. Deadline for printer-ready ads is Friday, September 28. If you need formatting assistance with an ad, deadline is Friday, September 21.

�  Senior Questionnaire available online. If you have a senior, please make sure that they complete it. Deadline to complete form is Friday, September 21.
