Accessing Green Kaizen Net Accessing Green kaizen Net is simple. Open your favorite web browser (Internet explorer, Mozilla, Google chrome). Just log on to www.greenkaizen.net. You will see following home page.

After clicking on “Sign In” button on the top right corner of the page following screen will be displayed.

Click Here to Sign In


Enter the user ID and password provided to you.

USER NAME : Enter the login id provided to you

PASSWORD : Enter the password provided to you

Click on ' Login ' button to start software. If login name and password entered are correct then Main option window is displayed on screen as shown on the next page.


Getting Started - General User

If the user ID and password are accepted then main option screen will be displayed as below.

The options available on the menu and there functions are described below.

• Home

• Kaizen

o Kaizen Bank

o Kaizen Registration

• Green Quiz

On the Left hand side, options for quick access to Kaizen Bank or the knowledge base of Kaizen submitted by all participants. Kaizen can be searched on Kaizen Type, click on the List button to display the Kaizens for selected Kaizen type.

On the Right hand side, are the information uploaded by the Schools Administrator in form of News, Alerts and any documents uploaded for downloading by participants. The operation of the menu options of Kaizen Bank and Kaizen registration are explained next this document.


Green Quiz A click on menu option "Green Quiz" will display following screen. Click on the “START” button to begin with the quiz.

The screen displayed on screen is as below..


The screen displays following details

• Question Number and Question text

• Four options to choose correct option from

• Last day up to which date this quiz can be taken up

• Current question number out of 300

• Correct answers given till this question

• Go to question, a provision available to jump to required question

• "Submit" button to save the answer, answer once submitted cannot be changed again.

• "Next Question" button to scroll to next question of the currently displayed question number

PROCEDURE TO BEGIN ANSWERING THE QUIZ QUESTIONS

1. Select question number

In the beginning we will begin with question number 1. This is an on line quiz, having 300 questions for which you may require multiple sessions. In the subsequent session we will be beginning the session from the question of your choice. To select the question click on the "Go to Question" drop down and choose the question.

The question numbers already solved are displayed in BLACK color and unanswered


question numbers are displayed in RED color.

When you select a question number for which answer is already Submitted / Saved, then "Submit" button will be not be available. In other words answers once submitted cannot be changed again.

2. Answer the question

The question text and available answer options are displayed. Choose the correct answer. Answer is selected when you click the mouse cursor in the circle provided with option.

3. Submit the answer

To submit an answer, make sure that you have selected the correct option in your opinion and then click on the "Submit" button. Remember any answer once submitted cannot be changed later.

After submission of answer, the software will indicate correct and incorrect answer by a tick and cross in front of them.

4. Scroll to next question

Click on the "Next Question" button to display next question on the screen.


Kaizen Bank The purpose of the Kaizen net is to make available a platform for participating organizations and students to collaborate and scale higher on sustainable development journey. With this objective of kaizen submitted by participants are available for view by other participants. This sharing provides an opportunity of learning by sharing and easily adopting the ideas implemented by others for quick results.

To view the kaizen bank, Click on the "Kaizen" main menu option and then "Kaizen Bank" from the subsequent second level menu.

Click on this icon in required row to highlight a kaizen.


Kaizen Registration To register a new kaizen, Click on the "Kaizen" main menu, then select "Kaizen registration" option of main menu to submit a new Kaizen or make modifications to submitted Kaizen. Modification in the submitted kaizen can be made till they kaizen is not accepted by the organization. Once the kaizen is accepted, then modifications cannot be made.

Click on the "Kaizen Registration" option of the main menu which will also display all kaizen submitted by you.

New Kaizen Submission Click on the "New Idea" button which will display a window to enter basic information on kaizen. All other information for benefits obtained and sustenance action will be entered in the edit data option which can be done only after Kaizen is registered.

A click on the "New Idea" button will display a window as shown below for entry of kaizen information.

Kaizen means change for better. Hence every kaizen involves a description of before improvement status, description of the actual improvement made and description of the after improvement status. This is then followed by recording of the benefits achieved and action required to sustain the improvement.

Click on New Idea Button to enter new kaizen


Kaizen type

This is the classification for kaizen. Select any one which is most appropriate to improvement you have implemented from the displayed list.

Before Improvement status

The description of the problem situation before implementing an improvement. Here you can enter maximum 150 characters.

Kaizen Idea

Describe the improvement carried out. Here you can enter maximum 150 characters.

Before Improvement status

Describe the situation after the improvement is done. Here you can enter maximum 150 characters.

Enter this kaizen information about kaizen and click on SAVE button.


Benefits and Sustenance of Kaizen Improvement Kaizen means change for better, so we must get some benefits after carrying out improvement or completing kaizen. To record the benefits of kaizen, you must first select the kaizen by highlighting it as explained in the Kaizen Bank option. Kaizen is highlighted by a click on the icon in the first column in the required row. After the kaizen is highlighted, then click on "Edit Idea" button to enter Kaizen benefits and sustenance actions.

A click on the "Edit Idea" button will display Kaizen information in following window.

There are three tabs on the window - General, Benefits and Sustenance action.

On the GENERAL tab information relating to kaizen is entered in Kaizen registration is displayed.

This information can be modified here and Saved after the SAVE button is clicked. Please note the information cannot be modified after Kaizen is accepted by Kaizen Net administrator of the school.

KAIZEN BENEFITS

Enter here the benefits obtained in multiple result areas. Click on "Add New Benefit" and enter required information in each column.


The columns include .

Result Area Select from the drop down menu.

Description Enter the description

Unit Select from Rs or Nos as unit of measurement.

Expected Benefits Benefits expected fron Kaizen implementation

Actual Benefits Actual Benefits acheived from Kaizen implementation

Period in months Number of months in which the actual benefits were acheived

After entering the data click on the SAVE button - Small disk icon in first column to store the data.

To discard the entered information, click on the small cross icon in the first column.

For editing the existing data, select the icon in the first column on the required row, modify the required information and then click on SAVE - Small disk icon in first column.

For deleting a row, select the red cross mark on the rightmost column and confirm delete.


SUSTENANCE ACTION

Every imprvoement need to be sustain or else we can not make progress on the continuous imrovement journey. The actions to sustain the kaizen are entered here, The information is given as
