Carajás Mine in Pará:• Water savings equivalent to the amount consumed by a city of 430,000 inhabitants

(19.7 million m3 per year) • 18,000 megawatts-hour per year, savings in electrical energy

Reduction in CO2 emissions:

“Truckless” system:• CO2 emissions reduced by around 77%• Diesel consumption by reduced by 76%

Reduction in dust emissions:

• Wind fence technology installed: dust emissions reduced by c. 77%.
