LTG High Performance Tangential Fans-an advantage for best heating, cooling, drying, blastingMany production processes require an extended linearand absolutely even distribution of air or other gases overa certain area.
The special design of, High Performance Tangential Fansprovides the optimum solution for these requirements.
The robust design and the use of high quality materials as-sure a long life expectancy.
The way these fans work, allowing even air distributionwithout additional baffles and vanes, and the space-savingdesign, make the use of tangential fans very economic.
Flow principleIn a tangential fan, the air is drawn in over the entire lengthof the fan impeller. Inside the impeller, the airflow isdivertedand accelerated by the vortex created by the rotation of theimpeller.
The airstream then exists over the entire length of the im-peller on the discharge side. The vortex separatesthe intake and discharge side of the fan at the narrowestpoint betwen the impeller and the vortex builder. Togetherwith the fan scroll, the vortex directs the airflow. This res-ults in an almost uniform laminar airflow over the entire out-let width of the fan.
impeller vortex inducer fan scroll
Advantages Uniform, extended airflow over large areas. Space-saving installation due to 90_ airflow pattern. Fan length can be matched exactly to machine width. Airflow conditions remain the same even for wider ma-chines (simplified design and drafting in case of modularsystems).
Fans performwell in any mounting position. Drive can bemounted on right or left hand side.
Quiet operation due to optimised impeller and housingdesign.
Long live expectancy due to robust design and locationof bearings outside the hot air zone.
Many bolt-on options.

Fan curvesTest conditions for the fan curvesThe indicated curves are valid for an air density ofρ = 1.2 kg/m3, a supply voltage of U = 400 V withf = 50 Hz, if operated with a 4-pole motor.
The rating tests where done as laboratory test according toVDI 2044 with unrestricted inlet and discharge.
Fan curves for 400 mm nominal length,4-pole
Acoustical dataThe acoustical data are for discharge side, tested in a re-verberant field.
The A-weighted sound power level LWA can be trans-formed into a A-weighted sound power level by the equa-tion LpA = LWA -10 log S/l m2. For this the exact total applic-able panel area S can be used.
The sound pressure level in the free field in 1 m distance(full spheric sound radiation) is abt. 11 dB less than thesound power level.

LTG Tangential Fan Series TM 150 / TMt 150
Fan curvesTest conditions for the fan curvesThe indicated curves are valid for an air density of ρ = 1,2kg/m3, a supply voltage of U = 400 V with f = 50 Hz, if oper-ated with a 4 pole motor.
The rating tests where done as laboratory test according toVDI 2044 with unrestricted inlet and discharge.
Fan curves for 401 mm nominal length
Acoustical dataThe acoustical data are for discharge side, tested in a re-verberant field.
The A-weighted sound power level LWA can be trans-formed into a A-weighted sound power level by the equa-tion LpA = LWA -10 log S/l m2. For this the exact total applic-able panel area S can be used.
The sound pressure level in the free field in 1 m distance(full spheric sound radiation) is abt. 11 dB less than thesound power level.
