THE SHELL

Trevi hot tubs are constructed of Lucite™ acrylic, the finest acrylic available. They are also covered with a 2-ply layer of fibreglass for increased durability and resistance to wear. Our engineers have developed hand lay-up procedures that eliminate air bubbles that can be prone to rupturing. Most Trevi hot tubs also employ Microban™ technology, antibacterial protection that is integrated during the fabrication process to prevent bacterial growth resulting in unwanted odours and stains on the hot tub surface. This invisible, taste- and odour-free technology is incorporated into the acrylic material of the tub shell and is guaranteed to never dissipate or wear out, helping your tub keep its showroom look a long time.

DYNACRETE™ BASE

The DynaCrete base under our hot tubs is made of recycled acrylic and resin, providing 44% better and longer-lasting support than our competitors' bases. Also, the flat design remains pocket-free, ensuring rigid foot support and at the same time overall hot tub stability. Cavities in footrests can create structural weakness that let the hot tub walls flex inwards. Thanks to the DynaCrete bases, our hot tubs are the strongest and most stable in the industry.

HOT TUB STRUCTURE

Our structural framework, fixed to the hot tub shell with fibreglass, is designed for superior rigidity and strength. All stress points are reinforced with fibreglass for added strength. The treated lumber used has a 50-year life span and conforms to the EPA’s (Environmental Protection Agency) newest environmental norms, so it presents no health risk.

SEQUENTIAL SHIATSUEmulating the finger, palm and elbow stimulating action of Shiatsu massage, these jets can be set to a gentle, relaxing flow or a vigorous, pulsating massage.

NECK JETSIf you suffer from stiffness of the neck or recurring headaches, these jets are wonderful therapy. Make sure to select downward aiming jets as opposed to those aimed straight out. Straight jets have the tendency of discharging large volumes of water, which, especially in the case of smaller family members, hit at the ear line and sides of the face.

FOOT DIFFUSERSA large concentration of nerve endings are found in the feet, which explains the incredible sensations brought on by a foot massage. Some of our tub models have been carefully outfitted with jets producing aerated streams of water specifically designed for the feet. HOW DOES CLOSED-CELL FOAM WORK?

Similar to the way a polar bear ’s fur keeps the animal’s skin dry, closed-cell insulating foam protects your hot tub from water damage, especially in areas where the temperature often dips below 0°C. Waterlogged foam insulation can seriously harm the internal parts of a hot tub. Closed-cell foam keeps water out and heat in.

Unlike the low-density foam normally used by most hot tub makers, the 2 lb foam in Trevi’s PolarBlock system has a number of advantages in addition to its superior insulating qualities. THERMOFOIL™ INSULATING LAYERMade of ABS polyresin, the ThermoFoil insulating material forms part of the PolarBlock insulating system exclusive to Trevi. Unlike competing hot tubs, the interior of the cabinet surface on Trevi products is equipped with an aluminium-coated membrane (reflective face inwards). The aluminium reflects heat generated by the pumps, which in turn heats the entire structure. The ThermoFoil insulating layer therefore plays two roles: it conserves heat and it acts as a reflective coating. The secondary heat generated by the pump motors is thus directed inwards instead of outwards, and is transferred to the water in the tub, further reducing heating costs.

SURROUNDING BASEOur base is made of ABS plastic that resists penetration by animals or insects. Beyond insolating the base from humidity, the ABS plastic protects the patio and wood surfaces and helps with heat retention.

INSULATING FOAMMany of our hot tubs are constructed using “thermo effect” insulation. In this process, a thick layer of closed-cell, 2 lb insulation is foamed in place directly on the tub shell and cabinet.Without blocking access to plumbing, it prevents heat from escaping the cabinet interior. The closed-cell construction prevents absorption of water. The exclusive Trevi PolarBlock system guarantees minimal heat loss and adds an additional layer of protection during shipping. This type of foam provides substantial energy savings.

A MAINTENANCE-FREE CABINETThe external finish of the hot tub is called the cabinet. Trevi hot tubs are made with DynaShield synthetic components, and lateral panels are fully removable for added convenience. Our spas will never cause any worries because they are maintenance free. And they are incredibly resistant to extremes of weather, UV rays, extreme heat and mechanical shock. Need we say more?

CLEAN AND CRYSTAL-CLEAR WATER, COMPROMISE-FREE

Many of our spas are equipped with an ozone generator to naturally clean, sterilize and disinfect your hot tub’s water. This systemis based on a Corona device that offers highly effective water filtration. Optimal hygiene is further achieved through the addition of antimicrobial fibres that increase filtration efficiency. The entire process can be automated to provide uninterrupted water treatment.

A TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR CRYSTAL-CLEAR WATER

Water filtration: 4 easy steps:

1. Pump # 1 operates at low velocity. Your hot tub is programmed to operate 4 hours daily. It can also be operational on a 24-hour basis.

2. Twice daily, your hot tub will operate during one minute, in order to perform a backwash.
