Mother and Child Program Program length from 6 to 8 months, based on individual need

The mother can have up to two children with her, aged between 0 and 6 years

One year follow-up at the Habitations Communautaires Portage is available

Specialised and unique therapeutic community adapted to the needs of mothers and their children

Psychological and physical security

Women can keep her family together while seeking drug addiction treatment

Treatment is conducted in a warm and caring environment

A highly qualified and multidisciplinary team will take care of the mother and her child/children throughout your treatment

Program StructureOrientationIntroduction to the program structure during outpatient phase of four to six weeks.

Participants spend the day at the centre from Monday to Friday. Residential PhaseApproximately six months, depending on the individual’s needsCommunity meetings and psycho-educational groupsWorkshopsSocio-cultural and recreational activitiesDevelopment of social competencies

Transition PhaseWhile still living in residence, participants spend six weeks developing an exit plan in

preparation for reintegration into mainstream society.

• For those who, for whatever reason, do not complete residential treatment
