Les recrutements de deux nouveauxresponsables de filiale, NorbertRunn en Allemagne et Eric Giguèreau Canada, viennent une nouvellefois prouver notre volonté de nousdévelopper fortement à l'étranger.Norbert et Eric vont mettre auservice de notre croissance leurenthousiasme et leur expérienceindustrielle et aéronautique. Enparallèle, notre filiale G²Metric,spécialiste en ingénierie et servicesdans le domaine de la mesure,intensifie également son expansionen Angleterre avec la reprise d'unesociété déjà bien implantée dans cepays et le recrutement de TomFitzmaurice comme Directeur Technique.

Cette volonté de développement se traduitégalement en France avec l'arrivée de MichelRodrigues et l'ouverture d'une agence en régionPACA à proximité des grandes entreprisesindustrielles de la vallée du Rhône. En parallèle,notre agence de Bordeaux a déménagé dans deslocaux plus adaptés et dispose maintenant d’unatelier qui lui permet d’enrichir et de compléterson offre.

En parallèle, nous renforçons notre maîtrise dela qualité, de la sécurité et de l’environnementen nous appuyant sur les référentiels les plusexigeants.

L’audit de renouvellement suivant les référentielsEN9100 : 2009 (sites de Toulouse et Nantes) et9001 : 2008 (tous sites) s’est déroulé du 26 avril au5 mai dernier. Aucune non conformité majeure n’aété relevée par l’organisme auditeur. C’est uneétape importante pour notre entreprise dans lamesure où cet audit a permis la transition vers laversion 2009 qui renforce les exigences sur lespoints majeurs suivants : analyse de risques,maîtrise de la configuration, maîtrise des transfertsd’activité et de la gestion de projet.

De plus, l’ensemble de nos sites a étéaudité pour la première fois sur les référentielsISO14001 : 2004 et OHSAS18001 : 2007. Nousallons obtenir le 24 juin 2011 les certificationsqui nous permettent d’afficher notre volonté enmatière de santé, de sécurité et d’environnement.

Notre développement se poursuit. Notre forte crois-sance en 2010 et surtout l'activité soutenue depuisdébut 2011 sont de bons augures. Nous sommesprêts à relever de nouveaux défis !

The recruitment of two new headsfor our subsidiaries in Germanyand Canada, Norbert Runn andEric Giguere respectively, onceagain proves our determination todevelop strongly abroad. Norbertand Eric are going to put theirenthusiasm along with theirindustrial and aeronautical expe-rience at the service of ourgrowth. In parallel, our subsidiaryG²Metric, specialized in enginee-ring and services in the area ofmetrics, is also stepping up itsexpansion in the UK with the

takeover of a company that already has a strongpresence in that country, and by hiring TomFitzmaurice as Technical Director.

This determination to develop is materialized inFrance by the arrival of Michel Rodrigues and theopening of an agency in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azurregion close to major industrial companies in theRhône Valley. At the same time, our Bordeaux agencyhas moved into better-suited premises and now has aworkshop allowing it to enrich and complete its offer.

In parallel, we are strengthening our quality, safetyand environment mastering by relying on the mostdemanding reference systems.

The audit for renewing our EN9100:2009 (Toulouseand Nantes sites) and 9001:2008 (all sites) certifica-tions took place between 26 April and 5 May. No majornonconformities were found by the auditing organiza-tion. This is an important step forwards for ourcompany given that this audit has enabled it to pro-gress to the 2009 version, which strengthens therequirements regarding the following major points:risk analysis, configuration management, control ofactivities transfers and project management.In addition, all our sites were audited for the firsttime with respect to the ISO14001:2004 andOHSAS18001:2007 baselines. On June 24, 2011 we willobtain the certifications that will allow us to display ourdetermination in health, safety and environment.We are pursuing our development. Our strong growthin 2010 and, above all, the sustained activity since thebeginning of 2011 augur well. We are ready to takeup all new challenges!

Le recrutement de Norbert Runn en avril dernier vient concrétiserl'ouverture prochaine d'une filiale LATecis GmbH en Allemagne.Actuellement basé dans les locaux de LATelec GmbH à Hambourg, il apris en charge le développement et le management des activités del'entreprise en Allemagne. Placé sous la direction de Serge Jardel,Directeur en charge du DéveloppementInternational, LATecis GmbH sera officielle-ment créé d'ici fin 2011. Cette ouverture estla conséquence logique de quatre dossiersmajeurs pour lesquels LATecis a été mis-sionné. Elle permet surtout de répondre auxattentes d'EADS qui, dans le cadre de sastratégie E2S, souhaite que ses partenairessoient présents au plus près de ses usinesAirbus en Europe.

Desoutillages aéronautiqueet spatial livrés

En janvier dernier, LATecis a mis en servicesur le site d'Airbus Stade, le bâti d'assem-blage du VTP Stub A350 (élément du VTPdestiné aux essais de qualification du fuse-lage). En mai, LATecis a livré à OHB (Bremen) un adaptateur de vibrationpour le programme GALILEO, adaptateur qui va faire subir à chacun des14 satellites du programme, tous les tests statiques et vibratoires.

A350-800 : installation des systèmesmécaniques

Depuis un an, 12 ingénieurs et techniciens attachés à la DirectionIngénierie & Services sous la responsabilité de Julien Causse, étudient àHambourg l'installation des systèmes mécaniques du futur A350-800.Airbus est satisfait de cette activité transnationale réalisée entreToulouse et l’Allemagne.

Signature d'un contrat de fournitures de petits outillages

Au début de l'année, LATecis a signé un contrat d'une durée de 3 ans avecAirbus. La prestation comprend la spécification, l'étude, le suivi deréalisation, la livraison et la mise en service de "petits outillages" (moinsde 25 k€) pour les chaînes des sites d'Airbus Hambourg, Stade et Brême.L'équipe, composée de 5 personnes, est amenée à travailler sur leschaînes existantes de l'A320, A380 et A340.

The hiring of Norbert Runn in April materializes the forthcoming openingof a subsidiary in Germany, LATecis GmbH. Currently based on LATelecGmbH’s premises in Hamburg, he has taken charge of the developmentand management of the company’s activities in Germany. Placed underthe management of Serge Jardel, Director in charge of International

Development, LATecis GmbH will officiallybe set up by the end of 2011. This openingis the logical outcome of four majordossiers on which LATecis is working.It above all makes it possible to satisfy theexpectations of EADS which, in the frame-work of its E2S strategy, wants its partnersto be present closer to its Airbus plants inEurope.

Aeronautical and space tools delivered

In January, LATecis put the A350 VTP Stubassembly jig into service on the AirbusStade site; this part of the VTP will beused for fuselage qualification testing. In

May, LATecis delivered a vibration adapterto OHB (Bremen) for the GALILEO program, which will be used to performall the static and vibration tests on each of the 14 satellites in theprogram.

A350-800: installation of mechanical systems

For one year now, twelve engineers and technicians attached to theEngineering & Services Directorate under the responsibility of JulienCausse, have been studying the installation of the mechanical systems forthe future A350-800 in Hamburg. Airbus is satisfied with this transnatio-nal activity accomplished jointly in Toulouse and Germany.

Signing of a small tooling supply contract

At the beginning of the year, LATecis signed a three-year contract withAirbus. The service includes the specification, design, production follow-up, delivery and putting into service of “small tooling” (costing less than€25 k) for the lines on the Airbus sites in Hamburg, Stade and Bremen.The five-person team will be working on the existing A320, A380 andA340 lines.

TUNISIAAfin de répondre aux attentes des grands donneursd'ordres et améliorer la compétitivité de l'entreprise,LATecis a ouvert en septembre dernier un Bureaud'Etudes en Tunisie. Installé dans les locaux deLATelec à Tunis, il est composé de 5 techniciens etingénieurs placés sous la responsabilité de PhilippeGleyzes. Formés aux règles, process et outils LATecis,ils mènent actuellement des études pour les clientsBombardier et Airbus.

In order to meet the needs of major prime contractorsand improve its competitiveness, LATecis opened aDesign Office in Tunisia last September. Housed onLATelec’s premises in Tunis, it employs five techniciansand engineers placed under the responsibility ofPhilippe Gleyzes. Trained according to LATecis’s rules,processes and tools, they are currently carrying outdesign work for our customers Bombardier and Airbus.

LATecis CANADA: ARRIVAL OFA NEW HEAD

Après l'Espagne, l'Angleterre et l'Allemagne, c'est à Montréal auQuébec que LATecis a ouvert une nouvelle filiale. L'objectif est d'êtreencore plus proche de Bombardier pour lequel, après avoir réalisé lesétudes et concepts du fuselage avant du C-Series Bombardier,LATecis a été retenu pour la phase DDP (dossiers de finitiondes structures - panneaux, stabilisation, encadrements de porte,éléments de plancher… - et installation de l'ensemble des systèmes- supports fixes et meubles avioniques). Eric Giguère vient d'êtrerecruté pour s'occuper de cette filiale.

After Spain, England and Germany, it is now in Montreal in Quebecthat LATecis has opened a new subsidiary. The goal is to ensure aneven closer presence beside Bombardier. After having completedthe nose fuselage designs and concepts for the BombardierC-Series, LATecis has been selected for the DDP phase (structurefinishing dossiers – panels, stabilization, doorframes, floor compo-nents, etc. – and installation of all the systems – fixed supports andavionics racks). Eric Giguere has just been hired to run thissubsidiary.

FAL A350XWB : ESSAIS EN COURSSUR LES POSTES 50 ET 40

A350XWB FAL: TESTING IN PRO-GRESS ON STATIONS 50 AND 40

LATecis vient de terminer l’installation des bâtis de mise enréférence des premiers postes 50 (jonction fuselage) et poste 40(jonction voilure) de la future chaîne d'assemblage final del'A350XWB (FAL). Dans le cadre du groupement constitué avec REELet AREVA TA, LATecis a pris en charge le lot de la mise en référencepar la mesure. Pour réaliser cette fonction, les bâtis positionnentdans l'espace les sections de fuselage et les voilures à 0,2 millimè-tre près avec l’aide d’un système de mesure laser, avant d’effectuerle groupage des éléments pour assemblage. Cela nécessite la miseen œuvre d'une mécanique de précision pilotée par un contrôle com-mande de grande fiabilité, dont les déplacements sont déterminéspar un système de mesure performant. Pour ce dernier, LATeciss'appuie sur sa filiale spécialisée G²Métric. Les essais de mise aupoint sont désormais en cours dans la nouvelle usine M50 deColomiers dédiée à l’A350XWB. L'entrée en service des premierspostes est prévue pour le dernier trimestre 2011.

LATecis has just finished installing the referencing jigs on the firstworkstations 50 (fuselage junction) and 40 (wing junction) on thefuture A350XWB Final Assembly Line (FAL). In the framework of thegroup set up with REEL and AREVA TA, LATecis has taken charge ofthe referencing-by-measurement package. To perform this function,the jigs position the fuselage and wing sections in space to within 0.2millimeters with the assistance of a laser measuring system, beforegrouping the parts together for assembly. This requires the use of ahigh-precision mechanism managed by an extremely reliablecontrol-command system, whose movements are determined by ahigh-performance measuring system. For this last aspect, LATecisrelies on its specialist subsidiary G²Métric. The finalization tests arenow under way in the new M50 plant dedicated to the A350XWB, inColomiers. Entry into service of the first workstations is scheduledfor the last quarter 2011.

OUTILLAGESDETRANSPORT :DERNIERESLIVRAISONSEFFECTUEES

En 2007, China Consortium et Airbus ontretenu LATecis pour la réalisation de bâtis detransport maritime permettant d'amenerdes modules de l'A320 de Hambourg enAllemagne à Tianjin près de Pékin.Conformément au planning, le 14ème etdernier jeu de sets d'outillages vient d'êtrelivré. Rappelons que LATecis s'était rapprochéde Tianjin Saixiang Technology (TST), sociétémécanique privée, avec laquelle avait étésigné un contrat en partage des tâches :LATecis prenant en charge la partie études,conception, essais et support technique, TSTla fabrication. La difficulté majeure de cedossier résidait dans le fait que ces outillagesdevaient anticiper les mouvements de la meret les accélérations lors des manutentionsportuaires, mais surtout qu'ils devaient êtredémontables afin de revenir par conteneursmaritimes standards sur Hambourg pour unnouvel acheminement.

In 2007, China Consortium and Airbus choseLATecis to make the maritime transport jigsused to ship the A320 modules from Hamburgin Germany to Tianjin near Beijing. Thefourteenth and last set of tools has just beendelivered on schedule. It must be rememberedthat LATecis decided to work with TianjinSaixiang Technology (TST), a private-sectormechanical engineering company, with which itsigned a work-sharing contract: LATecis tookcharge of the studies, design, testing andtechnical support aspects, and TST themanufacturing. The major difficulty with thisdossier was that these tools had to anticipatethe movements of the sea and the accelera-tions at the time of port handling operationsbut, above all, they had to be dismountable sothey could be returned to Hamburg by standardmaritime container for the next shipment.

LATecis a livré à Microturbo le 1er prototyped'un banc d'essai mobile qui servira à lamaintenance d'un équipement du Rafale :l'APU, générateur auxiliaire d'énergie. Ce 1er

trolley a été qualifié avec succès. LATecis doitlivrer les deux prochains exemplaires dans lecourant de l'été.

LATecis has delivered the first prototype of amobile test bench to Microturbo. It will beused for the maintenance of a piece of equip-ment on the Rafale: the Auxiliary Power Unit(APU). This first trolley has successfully beenqualified, and LATecis is about to deliver thenext two during the summer.

Rachat de la société Axis Metrology

G²Métric, filiale de LATecis spécialisée dans l'ingénierie de mesuredimensionnelle, a racheté en janvier dernier la société Axis Metrologybasée à Somerset (Sud de Bristol) en Angleterre. La société a étérenommée en février dernier en G²Metric Limited. Cette reprises’inscrit dans le cadre du développement international de G²Métric aprèsla création, en octobre 2009, de G²Metric GmbH en Allemagne. GrahamLincoln, gérant d'Axis Metrology, devient désormais Directeur Général deG²Metric Limited. Cette reprise permet à G²Métric de renforcer sa positionchez Airbus mais également de devenir fournisseur de GKN Aerospace,British Aerospace et Rolls Royce. L’objectif étant de développer cetteentité pour rapidement arriver à une taille de 6 salariés.

Recrutement de Tom Fitzmaurice

Tom Fitzmaurice a intégré en avril dernier l'équipe deG²Metric Ltd en tant que Directeur Technique, sous laresponsabilité de Graham Lincoln. Son expériencechez 4GMetrology (société qu’il a créée en 2004) esttotalement complémentaire avec l'offre de G²MetricLtd qui se donne ainsi les moyens de mener etde développer l’ensemble des activités, à savoir, l’ingé-nierie de la mesure, les prestations de service, laformation, la vente d’accessoires de mesure.

Takeover of Axis Metrology

G²Métric, the LATecis subsidiary specialized in dimensional measure-ment engineering, took over Axis Metrology in January. This company isbased in Somerset (south of Bristol) in England, and its name waschanged to G²Metric Limited in February. This takeover enters into theframework of G²Metric’s international development following thecreation, in October 2009, of G²Metric GmbH in Germany. GrahamLincoln, managing director of Axis Metrology, is now Chief ExecutiveOfficer of G²Metric Limited. This takeover not only allows G²Métric tostrengthen its position with Airbus but also to become a supplier to GKNAerospace, British Aerospace and Rolls Royce. The goal is to developthis entity quickly and arrive at a staff of six.

Hiring of Tom Fitzmaurice

Tom Fitzmaurice joined the G²Metric Ltd team in Aprilas Technical Director, reporting to Graham Lincoln.His experience at 4GMetrology (the company he set upin 2004) complements perfectly what G²Métric Ltd hasto offer. This will give the company the means it needsto carry out and develop all of its activities: measure-ment engineering, providing services, training and thesale of measurement accessories.
