l’équation ey = x d’inconnue y.

1. Pour tous réels x > 0 et y, ex = y x = ln y.
2. Pour tout réel x > 0, eln x = x.
3. Pour tout réel x, ln(ex) = x.
4. ln 1 = 0 (car e0 = 1) ln e = 1 (car e = e1) ln 1
𝑒 = -1 (car

𝑒 = e-1)
III Courbe représentative de la fonction ln
Dans un repère orthonormé, les courbes
représentatives des fonctions exponentielle et
logarithme népérien sont symétriques par rapport
à la droite d’équation y = x.

IV Fonction dérivée de ln
Pour tout nombre réel x > 0, ln’(x) = 1
𝑥.
Or f(x) = x et f’(x) = 1
Donc u’(x) = ln’(x) = 𝑓′(𝑥)

(1) ln a = ln b a = b (2) ln a < ln b a < b

On a alors : eln a + ln b = eln aeln b
On en déduit ln a + ln b = ln(ab).

VIII Logarithme népérien d’un inverse, d’un quotient
Pour tous réels a > 0 et b > 0,
1 ln1
𝑏= −𝑙𝑛 b (2) ln
𝑎
𝑏= ln 𝑎 − ln 𝑏
Propriétés
Démonstration
(1) Pour tout réel b > 0, b 1
𝑏 = 1 et donc ln 𝑏 ×
1
𝑏= ln 1 = 0
De la relation fonctionnelle, on déduit : ln b + ln 1
𝑏 = 0, soit ln
1
𝑏 = - ln b.
(2) Pour tous réels a > et b > 0, 𝑎
𝑏= 𝑎 ×
1
𝑏 et donc ln
𝑎
𝑏 = ln 𝑎 ×
1
𝑏
De la relation fonctionnelle, on déduit ln 𝑎
𝑏 = ln a + ln
1
𝑏 = ln a – ln b (d’après (1)).

ln(a²) = ln(a a) = ln a + ln a = 2 ln a ln(a3) = ln(a²a) = ln(a²) + ln a = 2 ln a + ln a = 3 ln a
x6 = 105 ln(x6) = ln(105)
6 ln x = 5 ln 10
ln x = 5
6 ln 10
x = 𝑒5
