Data delivery

PDF: Do not send any open files. At least PDF 1.4 (Acrobat 5). No transparency reduction (flattening) therefore: no PDF 1.3! JPEG Image data compression: - Image quality: Maximum, for colour and greyscale images - No JPEG and no downsampling for greyscale images and mono chrome images (bitmap, line art). In the case of Illustrator designs, embedding image data is essential.

Colour mode: CMYK & spot colours (PANTONE Solid Coated, HKS K).

Colour adjustment: FOGRA39 / ISO coated v2 or ISO coated v2 300.

Overall ink application: Max. 300 %.

Number of colours: Maximum 8 colours (incl. effect varnishes).

Photographic pixel images: Effective resolution at least 300 ppi. Also applies to soft shadows.

Bitmap pixel images (line art): Effective resolution at least 900 ppi, preferably 1200 ppi.

Gradients: Ideally, as pixel images.

Printing white: White as undercoat/primer: Double ink application, because too little opacity else.

White, as an stand-alone colour: Triple ink application, for the best possible coverage ratio.

Overprinting behaviour: Black usually has to be set as overprint.

Do not build up black multicoloured.

Double-check with Adobe Acrobat Pro, "Output preview" (simulate overprinting activated).

Line strengths: Positive lines at least 0.15 mm. Negative lines at least 0.2 mm.

Codes (e,g,. EAN, QR): Display only as vector graphics and depict positively, not negatively. Line thickness reduction: 0.09 mm. Single colour, black or special colour.

Colour references: For CMYK: GMG proof with ugra/FOGRA media wedge + test report (Colour adjustment: ISO coated v2 or ISO coated v2 300).

For self-defined spot colours we require a colour binding reference in duplicate (SAIER & printing house).

Mounting of print images

Mounting of print images with exact format values on the basis of the SAIER design templates. PDFs were provided in the Illustrator-graphics programme with different layers of functionality. Pay attention to front and back side, as well as the alignment of the printed image (opening tap, handle position, handle box, convergence) - Please align your label design accordingly.

Bleed: 3 mm bleed all around.

Layout grid: 3 mm minimum distance from the format edge / punching edge. Due to the process, a slight offset may occur during the injection moulding process at the IML junction, so (filigree) overlapping designs should be avoided. Unnecessary objects must definitely be deleted. Do not make invisible by hiding them under other elements.

Lid layouts: No text within 20 mm of the central injection point.

Others

Cold foil finishing: Area coverage of the metallic foil maximum 20%, based on the total label. Print image distance at the convergence and at the bottom label edge at least 5 mm.

Reverse Print : Print image distance to label edge at least 10 mm all around.

Text corrections: Changes and corrections to texts should be made to the original data before delivery. Text corrections are only possible after consultation and to a very limited extent in our company.
