دروخاتس افرم رھبےن ےک ےیل الی اسی اوز ےک ےیل دہاایتContext :Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy - PCP is a nonprofit organisation registered u/s 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984, and has been notified as a certification agency by the Government of Pakistan, vide Revenue Division’s notification no. 1116(1)/2003 dated December 18, 2003. PCP is engaged in the evaluation and certification of NPO’s based in Pakistan. PCP’s certification model builds the capacity of NPO’s by evaluating them in the category of their internal governance, financial management and programme delivery. The existing certification model of PCP focuses on evaluation of NPO’s whose working is entirely different from the working structure of LSO’s. LSO’s are usually small size organisations and lacks institutional capacity and require more support to strengthen their activities.

This specifically designed application form for LSO’s assessment contains basic questions regarding LSO Governance, their Management Capacity, Networking and Volunteerism, Effectiveness and Impact and question regarding sustainability of the LSO’s. Timely and proper filling of the application and furnishing of required documents (as per the attached checklist) will allow PCP to complete the assessment of your LSO in time. Extensive footnotes have been added to most of the questions in the application to explain various questions and to assist and guide you about how to fill in the application.

There are certain pre-requisites that an applicant LSO must fulfill before its performance is assessed for grading. These

1. The LSO is functional for at least last one year.

Any deviation(s) where the interests of the LSO have been taken care of will be considered by PCP. 14

Executive Body (EB) or General Body (GB) shall deem to be functional if it has formally met at least once a year in any two of the last three years. 15

LSO, audit has been conducted by a retired Audit, Accounts, Taxation or Treasury officer of the government not below grade-17 or a Bank Manager, provided its receipts

and expenditure pass through a bank. 16 An adverse decree subsequently reviewed by the court itself or set aside by a higher court will not attract the application of this clause.
