80 ans!

En 1939, André Malfroy propose à Jean Million de fonder avec lui la Société André Malfroyet Jean Million SARL.La guerre arrive rapidement après et André Malfroy, officier d’artillerie, est mobilisé. Jean Million, plus âgé, maintient avec une seule employée une faible activité jusqu’à la fin de la guerre. A partir de1945, les usines redémarrent peu à peu. La demande est énorme.Tout se vend cher avant même d’être fabriqué.Henri Million, fils de Jean, rejoint la société, qui produit et commercialise aux magasins de détail alors principalement des carrés imprimés en viscose et coton et un peu de tissu. A cette époque la soie est très rare. En 1952, Henri Malfroy rejoint la petite entreprise et la développe en ouvrant les marchés interna-tionaux vers l’Angleterre, le Danemark, le Liban, l’Egypte, Tanger et l’Algérie

Aujourd’hui c’est auprès de 30 pays que la société s’exporte, dont le Japon la Corée, la Chine et le Canada.

Orane SigalIllustratrice/ Illustrator

Orane Sigal née à Lyon en 1992, décide de se rediriger vers le dessin après un long parcours musical.Elle est diplômée de la HEAR (Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg), en tant qu’illustratrice et auteur de BD.La forme et la couleur sont des notions très présentes dans son travail et se distinguent par des associations de tons très francs et contrastés. Ses illustrations sont généralement issues de contes traditionnels du monde sur lesquelles elle est amenée à travailler, ou qu’elle écrit elle-même. Un monde imaginaire qui la touche particulièrement. Orane Sigal a exposé son travail dans des galeries et lieux alternatifs à Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg et Caen.

Orane Sigal born in Lyon in 1992, decides to redirect to drawing after a long musical journey.She graduated from the HEAR (Decorative Arts of Strasbourg), as an illustrator and author of comics.The shape and the color are notions very present in her work and are distin-guished by associations of very frank and contrasted tones.Her illustrations are usually based on traditional tales of the world she works on, or that she writes herself.
