Der Wettbewerbsbeitrag schlgt zwei k lare in s ich struktur ierte Baukrper vor, d ie durch ihre Stel lung zueinander im Sdwesten und Nordosten jewei ls e ine Frei f lche aufspannen. Bei der Entwicklung des Wegesystems wurde grosser Wert auf e ine klare Trennung zwischen Verkehrs - und Fussgngerbe -reich gelegt . Somit entstand im Zentrum der Anlage e in ver-kehrsfreier Zwischenhof ausschl iessl ich fr Fussgnger. Dieser dient a ls Tref fpunkt und biete hoheAufenthaltsqual i tt whrend der Arbeitspausen und beim Bewegen innerhalb des Areals .

Auf Grund der diagonal durch das Grundstck ver-laufenden Kanal le i tung s ieht der Wettbewerbs -beitrag zwei Gebude west l ich und st l ich von dieser vor. Zum einen wird e in Werkstattsgebude mit Hautlager und Anl ieferung vorgeschlagen und zum anderen ein Gebude was hautschl ich f-fent l iche Nutzungen und Brof lchen beinhaltet . Erschlossen werden bei Gebude ber e inen zen-tralen Windfang, der s ich inden Zwischenhof der Umgebung schiebt und im inneren des Gebudes in das Zentrum le itet .

Die innern Erschl iessungskerne s ind befusst im Zentrum gelagert und bieten somit auf jeden Geschoss e ine Adresse und eine gute Orient ierrung.Beide Gebude erhalten im Erdgeschoss e inen massiven Betonsockel und in den beiden Obergeschossen einen schwebenden Holz la-mel lenschirm der ber die Fassade ge zogen wird. Da die Obergeschosse die hchste F lexibi l i tt aufweisen, musste auch ein entsprechende f lex ible Fassade gefunden werden. Zum einen dient die Verkleidung als Sonnenschutz die das Tagesl icht gef i l tert in das Innere le i tet und durch ihre Glas -bnder im Brstungsbereich den Bl ick auf die ang-renzende Landschaft f re ig ibt . Fr sehr f lachste -hendes L icht in den Wintermonaten ermgl icht e in Sonnenschutzscreen eine zustzl iche Beschattung.

Der Wettbewerbsbeitrag Campus s ieht e ine Er weiterung des Schulareals Schlatt vor, dabei wird das Areal a ls e in Tei l der grnen Mitte von Widnau betrachtet . Geplant s ind zwei s ich ergn-zende Baukrper, d ie das Gebude -Ensemble auf dem Schulgelnde in ortstypischer Streuung ver vol lstndigen - Neues Schulhaus und Aula. Somit entsteht e ine Parkanlage mit e ingestreuten f fent l ichen Bauten. Hierbei wird das Pr inzip e iner minimalen Situierung der kompakten Kubaturen verfolgt , um einen grsstmgl ichen Freiraum zu erhalten.

Die ge zielte Platz ierung der Gebude lsst in s ich verschrnkte Pltze und Hfe entstehen und biete dadurch eine fexible Nutzung des Aussenraums. Vor der Aula bef indet s ich der f fent l iche Platz fr Schulpausen, Feste, Wochenendmrkte oder gegeben fal ls Ausweichparkpltze. Zwischen dem alten Schulhaus, neuen Schulhaus und Aula be -f indet s ich der Haupt-Schulplatz , d ieser dient a ls Drehscheibe ber die a l le Gebude ebenerdig er-schlossen werden. Wicht ig hierbei ist d ie Bl ick- und Wegbeziehung zwischen Stoffelareal und der ge -planten Schulgebude. Empfohlen wird e ine Tempo 30-Zone fr die Rt istrasse mit e iner Reduktion der Fahrspur auf e ine Minimalbreite zugunsten eines breiten Trottoirs . Dadurch knnen die Querbezge von Kirche / Fr iedhof und der neuen Schulanlage zum angrenzenden Kindergarten verstrkt werden.

Durch eine Neuordnung der Gebude entstehen in s ich verschrnkte Pltze und Hfe, welche die neue parkhnl iche Umgebung prgen. Der Rckbau der befest igten Schulhoff lche und die Weiter-fhrung des Kirchweges lassen eine rumliche Zsur zwischen dem direkt angrenzenden Fr ied-hof entstehen. Um eine maximale Bel ichtung des innenl iegenden Kerns zu ge whrleisten, werden al le Gruppenrume zum Gang verglast . Durch die sternfrmige Grundrissanordnung dieser Rume ist e ine gle ichmssige Bel ichtung durch Tagesl icht gegeben. Grossformatige Brstungsfenster geben den Bl ick auf das Areal und die Landschaft f re i und ermgl ichen eine zustzl iche Mbl ierung an der Fassade.

The new Thyssen Krupp House is shaped by the histor ical meaning of i ts posit ion on the Spree Is -land in Ber l in, as wel l as the urban proximity of the former State counci l bui lding (ESMT), the planned Humboldt Forum, the Department for Foreign Af-fa irs , the Monument to Freedom and Unity and the direct locat ion on the Spree canal .

The posit ioning of the narrow bui lding structure along road (Cast le Square) g ives an appropriate space to the former State counci l bui lding, and at the same t ime leaves an outdoor space between ThyssenKrupp House and the Univers ity. This space wi l l be a lounge terrace with a cafe at the south and enhances the urban character of the s i te .

The main entrance of ThyssenKrupp house is or ien-ted to the east and the v is i tor passes through the common courtyard (ESMT and TKH) in the spacious foyer with a blank space overlooking al l f loors . This symbol izes the openness and transparenc y of the bui lding and the company Tyssen Krupp.

The upper f loors are separated into three parts . One part contains conference rooms and techni-cal rooms. Another contains the of f ices. A central void s i tuated above the host is developed over the whole bui lding. I t provides opt imal vent i lat ion and l ight ing of di f ferent ent i t ies and between the two funct ions. Thanks to a type of hal f-storey (spl i t le -vel ) , two f loors of of f ices are direct ly connected by a walkway to a f loor conference rooms and leaves a direct physical and v isual access to users .

The planning area is character ized by i ts central and important locat ion in the cultural and admi-nistrat ive capital c i ty of Bregenz and by the sur-rounding transportat ion infrastructure, with the L 202 road and the central t ra in stat ion.

In the center of the project is the forecourt of the new area, which absorbs and distr ibutes the urban streams. This external space is shaped by the train stat ion bui lding, the mal l , the upper f loor level and i ts res idential structure and the surrounding space.

The main element of the square is the newly crea-ted ramp that surrounds i ts and connects the area with the lake promenade. The ramp also assumes the walking connexion between the area of shops and restaurants with the train stat ion on the f i rst f loor. For the res idential d istr ict located above the shopping mal l , the ramp wi l l lead to the entrance area and create a separat ion between publ ic and pr ivate areas. The res idential project with 140 ap -partments is located on a green carpet, which creates an attract ive exter ior for the area, provi-ding a high qual i ty of l i fe .

An other main new element is the of f ices tower, which, together with the Fest ival Hal l and Kunst-haus wi l l emphasize the urban accent of Bregenz with a third high point . The area wi l l be a l iv ing interface between the Kunsthaus Museum, the his -tor ical downtown and the fest ival area.

The extension of the Museum of World Cultures is character ised in the form of smal l bui l t units , wel l - proport ioned and integrated into the exist ing structure. They are interspersed with open spaces where old trees are kept in good condit ion. Above the Museum of appl ied arts and the new Museum of World Cultures, the publ ic space is surrounded by bui ldings. The park opens on Schaumainkai street , the Main r iver and the Frankfurt skyl ine and plays a role of access ramp to the two museums. I t remains an attract ive space for jazz concerts , le isure or f ree t ime for the inhabitants in the center of Frankfurt .

The wel l funct ioning path connect ions are strengt-hened together with the urban design. In the north -south direct ion along the axis provided by Richard Meier, a chausse is created for new bui ldings. In direct connect ion to the bui ldings, an new access road is created. V is i tors are guided through the lar-ge space into the museum access, the large lawns or to the Main r iver, the Metzlerstrasse and to the Museum of Appl ied Arts .

The new Museum of World Cultures develops i ts main facade to the east towards the open green area and also here on the Schaumainkai , and turns in a second row to the north towards the Unter-mainkai banks where appears the s i lhouette of Sachsenhuser.

The cubes f i t to the composit ion of the exist ing trees and form both for the compacted part of the park and for the museum a strong symbiot ic re lat i -onship. Thus, the spaces around the cubes are left f ree to access to del iver y, access to Kutscherhaus and educat ional act iv i t ies in the park .

The square in f ront of the f i re stat ion is only for the f i remen department and i ts act iv i t iy and training purposes. In order to smooth the act iv i t ies ef f i -c ient ly, the square is kept parking f ree, and publ ic access to the bui lding is possible at the western s ide where the command and v is i tor parking areas are also located.

The bui lding i tsel f is d iv ided horizontal ly into two separated parts , which form a Z-shaped structure. The upper volume is shi f ted southward relat ive to the volume of the ground f loor, creat ing a wide door overhang for f i ref ighters involved in emer-genc y and equipment . With this shi f t , the f i rst f loor has an open space that can be used as a meeting and training room as wel l as a terrace that can be used for sports training and youth act iv i t ies .

The convergent or ientat ion and the opening of two volumes, the ground f loor and the f i rst f loor south to north, f rom the pr inciple of open spaces accor-ding to their funct ion. The inter vention areas are or iented to the c i ty center whi le the administrat ive areas and training and training are directed to the north and green farming landscape.

The exercise consists to project a choreographic center in a s ingular place of Marsei l le : l Anse de la fausse monnaie.

The project re l ies on programmatic data as wel l as on character ist ics of the s i te . The nature of the choreographic center program impl ies a dual i ty EDUCATION / REPRESENTATION and provides di f-ferent k ind of space.

The topography of the place, two s lopes separated by a f lat area, a l lows div iding the two programmatic ent i t ies. The mineral character of the ground leads to the use of stone as a bui lding mater ial as wel l as wor-king on the thickness in the transit ion between di f-ferent areas.

1/ The educat ion part (school of dance) is meant to be an introverted place, folded up on i tsel f, and wi l l be part ly bur ied. The space of c i rculat ion, just l ike a c loister, wi l l be an empty space dug in the rock . This part of the program wi l l be located on the upper and isolated part of the s i te .

2/ The show part wi l l be a ful l e lement , appearing f rom the topography: a tower. This vert ical e lement wi l l be a point of cal l in the c i ty. I t wi l l set up next to the main road crossing the cove.
