Installation de Ivory Version 1.60 (Macintosh):Double-cliquez sur “Ivory 1.60 Upgrade.mpkg” pour lancer l'installeur et suivez les instructions.

Après un texte d'introduction, vous serez invité à consulter quelques informations utiles, ainsi qu'à lireet accepter le contrat de licence.

Ensuite, il vous sera demandé de sélectionner un volume de destination. Pour cette étape, choisissez levolume où réside votre système.

La prochaine étape consiste à choisir le type d'installation. Par défaut le choix est Easy Install, ce quiinstallera le plug-in, les utilitaires pour la banque de sons ainsi que la documentation. Si vous voulezôter un élément de l'installation, cliquez sur le bouton Personnaliser. Décochez les casescorrespondant aux paquets que vous ne désirez pas installer.

Ensuite, cliquez sur le bouton Installer afin de poursuivre l'installation.

L'installeur localisera votre dossier "Ivory Items" et y placera les utilitaires ainsi que la documentation.

Installation de Ivory Version 1.60 (PC)Double-clicquez sur "Install Ivory 1.60 Upgrade" pour lancer l'installer et suivez les instructions.

Après un message de bienvenue, vous serez invité à lire et accepter le contrat de licence avant deprocéder à l'installation.

Lorsqu'il vous sera demandé de localiser votre dossier "Ivory Items", utilisez le navigateur situé au basde la fenêtre.

Après que vous ayez localisé le dossier "Ivory Items", vous pourrez installer le plug-in, les utilitairespour sa banque de sons, ainsi que la documentation. Si vous avez opté pour l'installation du plug-inVST, sachez que la version stand alone est également disponible. Par défaut, tous les éléments serontinstallés. Passez à la page suivante pour valider vos choix. Clicquez sur Suivant pour démarrerl'installation.

L'installeur vous demandera de localiser les dossiers dont il a besoin afin d'installer correctement lesplug-ins aux formats que vous avez choisis.

Applications VST uniquement : les applications VST (telles que Cubase, Nuendo, ou Logic) requièrentque les plug-ins VST soient installés dans un dossier spécifique. Dans la plupart des cas, l'applicationVST reconnaîtra les plug-ins placés dans le dossier Vstplugins lui-même situé dans le dossier ProgramFiles. Les applications hôtes Steinberg peuvent également partager un dossier de plug-ins commun.

Si vous voulez utiliser Ivory dans plusieurs applications VST, copiez manuellement le fichier .dll duplug-in que vous aurez installé dans le dossier de votre choix, vers le dossier de l'application hôtedésiré. Par exemple, Cubase VST héberge des plug-ins VST dans son dossier Vstplugins. Cubase VST5.0 peut également héberger des plug-ins dans un dossier commun appelé Shared VST Plug-insFolder. Ce dossier est généralement situé dans : C:\ProgramFiles\Steinberg\Vstplugins.

Dans tous les cas, si vous désirez installer le plug-in Ivory au sein d'autres applications VST, il estconseillé de vous référer à la documentation relative à ces applications.

Les Presets et le navigateur de KeysetsIvory version 1.60 présente plusieurs améliorations au niveau de l'interface utilisateur. Les habitués deIvory remarqueront certainement la disparition du manu déroulant de sélection des Keysets et desPresets, remplacé par un navigateur destiné à sélectionner presets et keysets. Les Programmes,Sessions, Effets et Courbes de vélocité bénéficient tous de ce nouveau système de navigation (le menuSynth Layer conserve quant à lui son menu déroulant).

L'interface du navigateur offre une plus grande flexibilité en organisant et triant vos presets. Pourouvrir le navigateur, il suffit de cliquer sur la zone de sélection d'un preset ou d'un keyset.

L'aspect du navigateur présente quelques légères différences sur Mac et PC. Voici quelques photosd'écran des deux navigateurs en action.

Le navigateur d'effets de Windows

Au lancement de Ivory, vos presets seront automatiquement triés par catégorie. Les preset d'usineseront séparés des presets utilisateur. Les presets situés dans le dossier Ivory Items seonr déplacés dansdes sous-dossiers représentant chacun une catégorie. Les Programmes d'usine seront quant à euxorganisés par modèle de piano, et les effets par type. Des captures d'écran illustrent cette organisation.

YVous pouvez également créer vos propres dossiers dans le dossier "Ivory Items" (voir plus loin pourplus de détails). Si vous choisissez d'organiser vos presets de cette manière, vous pourrez naviguer dansvos propres dossiers au sein de l'interface de Ivory. Il est déconseillé de placer vos presets utilisateurdans les dossiers d'usine qui ont été créés. Sur Mac, les dossiers sont affichés en face des presets. SurPC, les dossiers apparaissent dans la colonne de gauche de l'arborescence.

Vous pouvez changer les critères de tri des presets en cliquant en haut des colonnes du navigateur. Cescolonnes affichent un certain nombre d'informations relatices à chaque type de preset.

A l'ouverture d'un navigateur, le preset ou keyset actuellement sélectionné est surligné pour repérage.Pour sélectionner un autre preset, double-cliquez dessus.

Lorsque'un preset est enregistré, il est stocké dans le dossier User (Utilisateur).

Comme stipulé précédemment, vous pouvez organiser vos presets dans vos propres dossiers en utilisantles procédures de votre système d'exploitation. Par exemple, tous vos Programmes se trouvent dans :“Ivory Items/Presets/Programs”. Dans le dossier "Programs" vous trouverez les dossiers par catégorie,chacun contenant ses Programmes. Pour créer vos propres dossiers de catégories, créez simplement unnouveau dossier dans le dossier Programs et déplacez les presets de votre dossier User vers vosnouveaux dossiers. Au prochain lancement de Ivory, vos dossiers apparaitront par catégorie au traversdesquels vous pourrez naviguer par le biais du navigateur de Ivory.

Akerte d'expiration de la période d'essai dans le navigateur de Keysets

Les keysets du Pack d'extension apparaitront dans le navigateur de Keysetssi votre "Expansion Pack" abien été autorisé avant l'échéance des trois jours de la période d'essai. Sinon, les keysets non autorisésne seront pas accessibles, et seront affichés dans une catégorie nommée "Expired".

Music use of Ivory is restricted to use within the musical compositions themselves.4. Ownership. The license granted hereunder does not constitute a transfer or sale of ownership rightsin or to the Software/ Soundware. Except for the license rights granted above, Synthogy retains all righttitle and interest in and to the Software/Soundware including all intellectual property rights therein. TheSoftware/Soundware is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including United Statescopyright laws and international treaties.5. Term and Termination. This License shall be effective upon installation of the Software/Soundwareand shall terminate upon the earlier of (a) your failure to comply with any term of this License; (b)return, destruction or deletion of all copies of the Software/Soundware in your possession. Synthogy’srights and your obligations shall survive termination of this License.6. Updates. Synthogy may, from time to time, revise the performance of its products and in doing so,incur NO obligation to furnish such revisions to any LICENSOR customer.
