From the baroque to the virtual, this book sets out on an aesthetic and ethical itinerary through a madness of seeing turned worldwide. The articulation of three historical moments —XVIIth-century baroque, Baudelaire’s modernity, and virtuality of screens and interfaces— aims at building a kind of benjaminian archaeology of the worldwide panoptism that surrounds us.
