To whom it may concern,
March of 2015 I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in
Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from The University of
Stellenbosch. As of the 28th September 2015, I had been
working as an operations assistant for a commercial
biotechnology company in the agricultural sector. A few of
my responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the
upgrading of company facilities, purchasing of equipment,
administration, project management, setting budgets and
schedules.
I take pride in my organisational skills and ability to
streamline processes for faster more effective handling.
Time management, hard work, and dedication have been
among the most important abilities that I have acquired.
Flexible in my abilities to work and thrive both as an
individual and within a team environment, I am always
willing to collaborate or help where needed. What I may lack
in experience I redeem in my will to succeed.
I feel that given the opportunity, for all the above-mentioned
reasons and my insatiable hunger to learn, I will be a valuable
asset to any company, bringing a fresh perspective to reaching
and securing the goals set forth for the organisation.
Yours Sincerely
Megan Lynn Cousins

REFERENCE LETTER: MEGAN COUSINS
Megan Cousins (911230 0323 080) has been employed on a contract basis as Operational Assistant,
since 28 September 2015.
During her employment her first responsibility has been the repairs and maintenance of the equipment
in our laboratories. This included the setting up of a complete maintenance schedule. Her duties also
included sourcing, purchasing upgrading and installations of equipment in the laboratories, updating
the asset registers and other duties pertaining to her position as operations assistant. She is also
currently running our bio-reactor project in the tissue culture laboratory. Her experience at Westcape
Biotech offered her valuable exposure to a commercial business environment.
We were impressed with her innovative approach to problems, as well as her ability to streamline
processes. We have found her to be a reliable person with excellent planning and organizational
skills. She is clearly an intelligent individual with the necessary capacity to achieve in her chosen field.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Reinette Champanis
