Dear friends i n C h r i s t ,Our return trip to the United States from Brazil after three years of work inthe Amzon Valley was an enjoyable one and we have been busily reaquainting ourselveswith the "homeland" and visiting our supporters and loved ones since the ndddle of Oct-o er, Furlo\igh time brings with i t the Joys of being with family and friends again aswell as numerous chances to t e l l Christian people in many places about the tremendousopportunities and needs for the work of Christ in Brazil. We want to thank each and

eve^ one of you who have been ourconstant source of spiritual and financial backingduring the past three and a half years and for your special help in providing extrafunds f o r ou r r e t u r n t o the U.S i- &The months of November, December and January have been spent in visiting thosewho have^pported us in the past. We appreciate so much your obvious concern for thework of the Lord in Brazil and the opportunities we have had to inform you about whathas been done there and what the plans and needs fo r the future are.In January we wiU be taking up residence in Joplin, Missouri, i^ere we will betaking some college work at Ozark Bible College as well as teaching Portuguese to someprospective missionaries. This semester of work will serve to refresh and stimulateus as well as better prepare us to work in Brazil upon our return this fall.Our plans for the summer and fall months of 1967 are being finalized now. Weurge aiy of you who would like to have us visit in your area during this time to present work of Christ in Brazil to write to Mr. John R ansom , 209 E. 13th, Russell,Kansas 67665. He is handling all arrangements for our speaking dates.It has been a real personal joy for a ll of the family to again be with our families during the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. Grandpas and Grandmas,cousj^s, aunts and uncles have become real people instead of just names and pictures

financial help is needed during our furlough time and we want to ask you to seriouslypray with us about getting at least $200 a month more regular support for our work ine em when ve go back this fall. All offerings from our speaking engagements will beused for our return trip to Brazil and necessary equipment for working there.I t is our conviction that the Lord can use us in Brazil and we want to return.Please pray with us about the work in Brazil and about our efforts during this furlough to in te r e st others in going there to work for Christ,
