Our reporters scoured the world or representatives o The New Powder

Generation. We imagined wed fnd them in the most obvious places: the cocktail

bars o Manhattan, the clubs o Los Angeles, the catwalks o Milan and Paris. We

were wrong. These women are not just beautiul they a re interesting. They are

earless. They travel to the our corners o the earth . Youre as likely to fnd them on

These washes are Diesels interpretationof timeless classics youll want to wearevery day. They cover many differentstyles of denim, from clean to treated

or destroyed.

The 65Z Glamarama takesadvantage of soft, super-stretch lightweight denimfabric. A touch of Powderpink is added via manual

localized sponging usingnatural pigments. A luminouseffect is obtained by ironingthe denim in the nal phase.

The 8MZ wash crops up again in amodied form in the 8PT Dream

Stream version, seen on the Nevycut. Its a broken and destroyedvariation, using a manually appliedcolor spot treatment.

The 8Y4 Sugar Goddess is one of thestar washes of the collection. The dark

indigo fabric contains XLA cotton, a Ly-cra ber that has been modied to make

it especially resistant. Youll see why ina second! The denim undergoes several

treatments including dirty applications before the all-important Powder of

Diesel pinkish effect is obtained by handsponging with natural color pigments.

The 8MZ Splash of Talc is another starwash, seen at its best advantage on the

Matic t. A 13 ounce base is softened witha number of complex manual treatments.

A nal press gives the fabric a luminoussummer look. Localized sponging using

oxidizing elements on pockets and hemsadds further touches of light.

Last but not least in this section isthe 8NM Blue Me Away wash. A

clouded effect is achieved thanks to acombination of an initial sandpaper

treatment and an all-over manualspray treatment. This effect is high-

lighted by a bleach treatment

Next up is the 8MA, much appreciated bydenim connoisseurs. The dark blue baseis over-dyed in black and then coated withresin. The resins, treated with a 3D effect

and whiskers, are oven-dried at 140 andthen sandpapered so that negative whis-kers emerge. The effect is blended duringa nal stone wash, using a softener.

We call the 8MC wash The Blue Dia-mond, after the diamond-style facets

on the fabric. These are created bysewing together folds of cloth before

the item reaches the laundry andundergoes treatment.

The 8PZ is the most innovative of the BlueEyecons washes. Its aided by the natural

Tencel ber, which is luminous and soft, ableto maintain a constant body temperatureand protect from humidity and heat. The

main treatment here is a wash with oxidis-ing elements we call it New Shade. Its all

about ultimate softness.
