President Abdo-Rabbo Mansour Hadi met on Monday with his advisors and discussed with them situations in the homeland and latest developments.

Attended by his Vice Ali Mohsen and Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr, the meeting dealt with efforts of the government for normalizing development and supply conditions and the Saudi financial deposit of USD 2 billon for reviving economy.

President Hadi confirmed Yemen’s position supporting peace and the international legality’s resolutions on Yemen led by UN Resolution 2216. He reviewed a number of concessions made by the government for the sake of peace in different talk stages for stopping bloodshed and realizing peace and Houthi militia stubbornness and rejection of peace efforts.

He also confirmed supporting UN Envoy’s efforts and providing different forms of cooperation for easing his task for achieving peace on the bases of the three peace references; the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference

“We feel the real situation of suffering faced by Yemeni people whether in liberated areas or in those still under the rebel militia over the war triggered by coupists on our society for serving foreign agendas of Iran, who uses their rebel hands for destabilizing the security of our neighbors, specifically Saudi Arabia,” said President.

The meeting asserted confidence building and releasing prisoners and detainees, as well as stop firing ballistic rockets on Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister bin-Daghr presented a review on efforts of the government and its field visits of people in Aden and other provinces for inspecting their needs.

The meeting tackled a number of issues in its agenda and issued necessary decisions.

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi met with the US ambassador to Yemen Matthew H. Tuellerin Riyadh on Monday.

Hadi pointed to the suffering and serious abuses that the Yemeni people endurein the territories still controlled by the rebel militia.

Hadi renewed his keenness on a total and permanent peace based on the three relevant references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of Yemen’s National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council resolutions mainly resolution no. 2216.

He praised the US role in countering terrorism and extremism, providing relief aid in Yemen, supporting the country’s government and assisting in the attempts to bring about peace.

Tueller hailed the wisdom and perseverance of Hadi while being open to peace proposals.

Previous peace talks show that rebels don’t honor deals, Hadi new UN envoy.

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi told the new Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General that the previous peace talks experience the government held with Houthis showed that the rebels don’t honor the deals and commitments.

In a meeting with Martin Griffiths in Riyadh on Tuesday, Hadi said the rebels don’t even care the least bit about the United Nations resolutions while carrying on resolutely toward their maximalist ends, a foreign agenda.

Hadis meeting with Griffiths was also attended by Vice President Lt. General Ali Mohsen, Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr and Dep. Prmeier and Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi.

Hadi said that “we will always continue to call for peace to affirm our principle attitude, out of our national and moral responsibility toward our nation.”

Hadi briefed Griffiths on how the Houthis’ coup, last-minute sabotage of Yemen’s then-imminent historical transformation in 2014, and ensuing horrendous attacks and blockades against Yemeni cities plunged the country in the humanitarian crisis Yemen is seeing today.

Griffiths expressed his optimism in the prospect of achieving the Yemeni people’s aspirations and ending the people’s suffering. He said that he would spend intense efforts to mediate peace.

Prime Minister Ahamd Obeid bin-Daghr has been briefed by Governor of Mahra Rajeh ba-Kurait on the development projects in the province and its needs of other infrastructure projects.

President Hadi issued directives of buying a 10 MW plant and opening a tender for buying another plant with output of 40 MW operating by gas and diesel to be implemented in two stages this year, said bin-Daghr.

He added that the government gives Mahra’s projects priority, especially water and power and health and roads projects, as well as education and other basic services, pointing out that the power project is one of the strategic ones as expansible to 80 MW.In his meeting with the governor on Sunday, bin-Dahgr stressed on realizing security and stability and giving Mahri people

The expertsare namely KamelJendoubi, Charles Garraway (United Kingdom) Melissa Parke, (Australia), and the representative of the OHCHR in Riyadh FaridHamdan.

Hadi said that the Iran-backed rebels have committed serious violations against the unarmed civilians. Hadi ordered the government to facilitate the experts’ mission for the sake of achieving accountability.

Hadi recalled Yemen’s national dialogue in 2013-2014 as emblematic of Yemeni people’s proud march toward a modern stable federal state built on equality, justice and good governance.

The Experts said they keep a good level of cooperation with Yemen’s National Commission to Investigate into Alleged Human Rights Violations. The experts said they look forward to visit the war-torn province of Taiz next month to have a close look at the facts on the ground including the humanitarian suffering.

Prime Minister Ahmed bin Daghr chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday to discuss the latest developments internally and externally and to push forward the development process in the government-held territories. The Cabinet welcomed the UN Security Council’s recent condemnation ofHouthi violations including theballistic missile attacks againstthe government-held territories and the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia. Al-Mekhlafi, Fatah meet with Panel of Facts-Findings Experts

Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi along with Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee—Abdulraqeeb Fatah met Monday with the UN Panel of Experts in charge of investigating into human rights violations in Yemen.

The Panel of Investigators—headed by Kamal Al-Jandoubi—established under a resolution by the UN Human Rights Council in its previous September round. The team of experts' mission aimed to prop up the capacities of the National Committee for Investigating (NCI) into violations of human rights in our country.

Al-Mekhlafi welcome the team, affirming that the Yemeni government will do its utmost to help the panel doing its job successfully, revealing violations of human rights and holding perpetrators accountable for their crimes against the Yemeni people, including arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, torture and recruiting children.

The Foreign Minister stressed the importance of closely cooperation between the NCI and the Panel of Experts in the framework of cooperation and the term stated by the UN Human Rights Council for the Panel to do its job.

Al-Mekhlafi made clear that the Yemeni government alongside with the Arab Coalition have already established Compensations Fund which is set to start its mission soon that aimed to pay compensations for the collateral damage of the war.

For his part, Fatah explained the efforts have been made by the Supreme Relief Committee in cooperation with the Arab Coalition member states in order to provide relief and humanitarian aids to the people in need all over the country.

The Team leader of the Panel experts promised to do their job professionally, fairly and impartially in accordance with the international resolutions in relevant. Al-Jandoubi provided a brief review on the team field visits they paid in Sana'a and Aden, promising more visits to other provinces, on top of all Taiz as the Foreign Minister asked them to do

Yemen, Sweden discuss situations in AdenDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ahmad al-Maisari met on Monday here with Ambassador of Sweden to Yemen Peter Semneby over current situations in Aden and other provinces.

Al-Misari reviewed suffering of the Yemeni people over Houthi-Saleh coup against the government of President Hadi in 2014.

Al-Maisari reaffirmed keenness of the government in achieving just and permanent peace and ending the war on the bases of the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.

For his part, Ambassador Semneby said his visit’s program includes holding a number of meetings with different parties.

Social insurances remittance discussed

Al-Yamani: Houthis’ opposition to peace exacerbates humanitarian crisis in Yemen

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ahmad al-Maisari discussed on Monday with concerned officials the second phase of Emergent Cash Remittance Project and finalizing the first phase to include all beneficiaries of social insurance.

In the meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Local Administration AwadhMashbah and Executive Director of Social Care Fund Najla' al-Sayyadi, al-Maisari talked about the ongoing project provided by the World Bank and international donors via UNICEF.

Worth USD 200 million and implemented by local companies, the project targets more than 1,5 million people.

Al-Maisari stressed on abiding by concrete measures while implementation for providing assistances to all beneficiaries.

Yemen’s permanent envoy to the UN Khalid Al-Yamani said:”Geneva’s high- profile conference which scheduled to be held on April 3,2018 in Swaziland comes at extremely critical stage as a terribly humanitarian crisis in Yemen has been continuing for the fourth year because Houthis rebels have refused to work with the government under supervision of the Office of the special envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen to carry out major measures that can build trust to alleviate the Yemeni peoples humanitarian suffering”.

Al-Yamani praised the positive response by Saudi-led Arab Coalition, mainly Saudi Arabia and UAE that committed themselves to provide $1billion and mobilize $500 million more to contribute to funding the UN Humanitarian Response Plan with an estimated $2.96 billion.

Al-Yamani said:” Humanitarian

Above 40 thousand killed, 27452 injured by Houthi militia gunfire, says minister

GENEVA-SABA

Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Asker has confirmed that crimes and violations committed by Iran-backed Houthi militia against the Yemeni people resulted in killing (13389) among of them (13553 children and (842) women. Total number of the wounded people reached(27452).

Some (439) people were killed and (1377) more injured by landmines planted by the militiamen from September 2014 through February 2018.

Asker revealed these figures at seminar organized by the Ministry of Human Rights and Yemen's permanent mission to the UN Office in Geneva. The function held on the sideline of the 37th Round of Human Rights Council.

Asker stated that the Houthi militia has caused crippling damages to infrastructure, public and private-owned property, detonated houses, mosques and violated human rights and children." children recruitment rates increased as many as ten times in 2017".

The Minister went on:" National Committee for Investigating into human rights violation documented (22555) claims of violations and (5432) violations were observed in 2017.

Asked added that the committee conducted investigations into (13026) cases of violations and prepared (3000) files of full details about the violations. In 2017, the committee reported about testimonies from (4800) witnesses and learned about (7200) documents about violations and abuses" said Asker.

Minister of Trade and Commerce Dr. Mohammad al-Maitami discussed on Tuesday with the Director of Yemen’s Office of US Agency for International Development (USAID) David Hardin enhancing cooperation for providing technical assistances for trade facilitations.

The meeting also discussed facilitating the provision of humanitarian and trade supplies to their destinations.

Improving a project for supporting transferred trade, institutionalizing private sector and setting up a national strategy for facilitating trade were tackled.

Yemen, US sign agreement on renewing support

Askar, Gilmore discuss Houthi

violations of human rights

The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) singed on Tuesday a treaty for renewing US support to Yemen.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammad al-Sa'adi and the Head of USAID's Office in Yemen David Harden signed the treaty.

The treaty embodies cooperation between Yemen the US agency in different humanitarian and developmental fields, said al-Sa'adi.

He praised the agency for supporting educational and health sector and joint work for creating work opportunities.

Minister of Human Rights Dr. MohmmedAskar met today with the Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, Kate Gilmoreof the United Nations at the UN headquarters in Geneva.

They discussed the Houthi violations of human rights in the country and the humanitarian situation against the backdrop of the conflict in Yemen.

The discussion cited Houthis’ quelling of a peaceful GPC party members rally in Sana’a on Wednesday in remembrance of Ali Abdullah Salehwhom Houthis killed last December after he indicated his willingness to discontinue rebellion and dialogue with the government.

Houthis intimidated the protesters by shooting fire and beat the demonstrating men and women with clubs and stun guns.

The Saudi cabinet welcomed today the presidential statement issued by the UN Security Council on the situation in Yemen.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Cabinet welcomed in its meeting, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in Riyadh on Tuesday the statement including the condemnation of the Houthis’ ballistic missile attacks against the kingdom.

The UNSC statement the rebel militia’s firing of ballistic missiles they receive from Iran toward the Saudi territories.

The statement also hailed King Salman Center for Relief Aid’s announced plan for massive humanitarian aid to Yemen.

The Cabinet said that the UNSC’s statement reflects the commitment of the UN Security Council to resolving the Yemeni conflict through a political settlement based on the three relevant references; the GCC Brokered Agreement, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council resolutions.

The Supreme Council for Police has commenced its meeting in Aden under the presidency of Deputy Minister of Interior General Naser Lakhsha’ after a halt lasted for years since Houthi Coup against the government in 2014.

The council discussed a number of topics including an action plan for 2018 and its constitutional tasks, as well as issues related to security affiliates.

The meeting comes in the framework of activating the ministry of interior and shouldering its responsibilities in accordance with constitution and law and decisions of the ministry’s leadership, said Lakhsha’.

He confirmed keenness of the ministry’s responsibility in cooperation with the Arab Coalition for deep rooting security and police and protecting public stability across liberated provinces.

Team of Austrian (OMV) oil firm returns to Yemen to resume

Assistant Deputy Governor of Hudramout for Wadi and Sahara Engineer Hisham Assa’eedi held a meeting Sunday included deputy director of Syoon International airport, representatives of Trade Unions of Wadi and Sahara Hudramout and the Syoon airport workers.The meeting devoted to discuss demands raised by the workers of Syoon International airport who have already initiated a strike.

Eng. Assa’eedi praised the good efforts made by the airport’s workers to operate the airport amid current hardships and war-times the country has been experiencing. However, he urged the workers to comply with the internal bylaws and regulations.

Assa’id expressed understanding of the workers legal rights press. The deputy governor agreed with the representatives of the Trade Unions to explore reasonable solutions. He also stressed the importance to end the strikes.

Managerial crew of the Austrian OMV oil company arrived on Sunday in Al-Aqla oil field, eastern Shabwa province. The arrival of the administration team came within arrangements for resuming the company’s business. The team headed by Robert Glock returned to Yemen for the fist time since foreign companies operate in oil production in Yemen has left the country in the wake of Houthi militia coup by the end of 2014.

The team paid an inspection visit to bloc S2 in Al-Aqla oil field where the Austrian firm established its investment oil enterprise.

The Minister of Oil and Minerals Engineer Aous Al-Awd told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba)

that arrival of the firm technical team in Shabwa came as a columniation of tireless efforts made by the legitimate government backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition to pay the way for resuming the economic sectors, mainly oil and gas..” it is a preliminary step forward for the returning of all oil firms to the government-held regions”, said Awd.

The Minister stated that communications are underway with other international oil companies. “ There are positive signs that bringing oil and gas sector back into operation will be done within the upcoming period”, said Awd.
