Chez syncro, la création d’un casque de vélo prend naissance de la même façon qu’on sculpte une œuvre d’art. Un a un, on assemble des po-lygones simples pour ensuite les affiner et voir naître des formes fluides. Le filet géométrique composé d’un nombre limité de vertex permet de modifier efficacement et rapidement les formes pour ensuite produire une impression tridimen-sionnelle de l’objet.

La modélisation CAO par le biais de courbes pa-ramétriques est la seconde étape pour en arriver à la forme finale. Pour ce faire, le fichier polygo-nal précédemment construit sert de support aux surfaces de haute qualité que l’on vient attacher minutieusement. En accord avec les différents procédés de fabrication, les angles de démou-lages sont affinés afin d’optimiser le produit et sa production.

Finalement, opter pour des images photo-réa-listes permet d’accéder plus rapidement au marché en devançant certains livrables norma-lement atteints après l’obtention des unités de pré-production. Simuler l’aspect final de son produit permet d’obtenir, à l’avance, l’ensemble des images qui serviront à en faire la promotion.

At syncro, bike helmet design starts the same way we sculpt a piece of art. One by one, we as-semble simple polygons before the form is fur-ther polished. The geometric net, composed of a limited number of vertices, allows for later effi-cient and rapid adjustments. Once the sculpture is completed, the virtual object is exported to be 3D printed.

CAD design via parametrical curves is the second step to obtain the final shape. The pre-viously constructed polygonal object is used as a support to accurately attach high quality sur-faces. Accordingly to the fabrication methods, draft angles are perfected to optimize the pro-duction.

Finally, 3D rendering is a powerful mean of communication that advantageously replaces traditional pictures. Opting for photo-realistic renderings allows for reaching the market faster by bypassing the photo-shoot of a preproduc-tion unit. By simulating the final appearance of a product, we obtain earlier all the images re-quired to promote it.

Le nettoyage complet de la bouteille est rendu possible par le démontage simple du cylindre d’étanchéité et de l’embout de succion. Peu de bouteilles sur le marché peuvent se vanter d’être 100% nettoyables de par la complexité de leur mécanisme d’ouverture.

Le choix du mécanisme est un mariage parfait entre forme et fonction puisque l’action s’opère par la paume du pouce. Ergonomiquement étu-diée, la symétrie des boutons permet de tenir fer-mement la bouteille d’une seule main tout en ac-tionnant son ouverture ou sa fermeture. Une fois le système ouvert, il suffit d’aspirer pour que la valve de silicone laisse échapper un grand débit d’eau. By launching on the market its brand new bot-tle during the year of 2015, LOUIS GARNEAU SPORTS is shaking the competition with an outstanding product. syncro is happy to have developed the THERMO BIDON, particularly the opening system inspired of the most watertight plumbing valves.

Full cleaning of the bottle cap is made possible by the simple disassembly of the seal cylinder and the suction tip. Only a very few bottle on the market can brag of having a 100% clean-able mechanism because of the complexity of their solution.

At the crossroad between form and function, the mechanism is operated by the palm of the thumb. Ergonomically studied, the symmetrical location of the buttons allows for holding firmly the bottle with one hand while pushing to open or close. Once opened, the cyclist simply sips to let a large volume of water go through the silicone valve. The use of a flat and transversal mechanism allows the water to entirely dis-charge itself once the bottle is upside down: an innovation signed syncro.

La SOCIÉTÉ DE TRANSPORT DE LÉVIS a eu re-cours aux services SYNCRO afin de meubler adé-quatement la station de l’hôpital HÔTEL-DIEU DE LÉVIS. Plusieurs défis ont été relevés par syncro afin de livrer une solution ergonomique, durable et abordable. De façon inédite, les points d’ancrages peuvent autant servir à une instal-lation verticale au sol, qu’à une installation ho-rizontale au mur. De cette manière, les bancs et appui-fesses se marient à l’environnement tout en exploitant l’ensemble des structures en place.
