    I. INTRODUCTION

Electromagnetic (EM) pollution is the environmental condition caused by the presence of

excess EM energy far above the natural levels encountered during mans existence on planet

earth. (6000 years according to the Holy Bible). The EM energy spectrum covers a wide range

of frequencies* from zero to infinity.

EM energies are assessed as radiations or fields, depending on the frequency. When the

energy emitted by the EM source propagates away from the source at a very high frequency

and most of the energy is in the frequency, such as microwaves, infrared, light, the wave

length is too short to make a distinction between electric and magnetic fields. So those

energies are assessed as power densities and measured in watts/m 2. When the wavelength is

long and the frequency is relatively low, such as household electricity, the effects of the

electric and magnetic fields are distinct and separate. The energy is mainly in the amplitude. In

those cases, the power density, expressed in watts/meter 2 (w/m 2 ) is the product of the

electric field strength E and the magnetic field strength H. The quantities E and H are

expressed in units of volts/meter (V/m) and ampere/meter (A/m). Since most magnetic field

measurements evaluate the magnetic flux density, B, expressed in units of Tesla (one Tesla =

    10,000 Gauss) and H = B/1.26 x 10 -6, than the power density W = E x (B/1.26 x 10 -6 ). The

human body is totally permeable to magnetic fields, but the skin serves as a shield against

electric fields. For the same energy levels, magnetic fields have a greater impact than electric

    fields on biological systems.

Up until recently, man has been exposed to natural EM energies that have been consistent

over time. Only 2 EM energy windows reach the earths surface in significant amounts, due to

shielding by the magnetoiono- atmospheric layers surrounding the earths surface at different

altitudes: Window I, with frequencies ranging from 100 to 1000 Tera Hertz (THz), the long UV-

visible-near infrared window, (UV-Vis-NIR) where EM energies are used for subsistence and

biological rhythms; and Window II, the radiofrequency (RF) window, ranging from 10 Mega

Hertz (10MHz) to 37 Giga Hertz (37 GHz), centering around 300MHz. The role of this second

window is still under investigation. Outside these 2 windows, the power densities of the EM

spectrum at sea level are below picowatts/m 2 ; compared to hundreds of watts/m 2 in the

UV-Vis-NIR window and nannowatts/m 2 in the RF window.*

    * The quantifying unit for frequency is cycle per second, also called Hertz (Hz). One KHz = 1000

    Hz; 1 MHz = 1000 KHz; 1 GHz = 1000 MHz; and 1 THz =1000 Ghz.

Around 100 years ago, electrical power became available for limited industrial and home

applications. The choice was between direct (D.C.) and alternating (A.C.) currents. Healthwise,

D.C. was better but logistically, A.C. was more practical because of better efficiency in the

delivery of electricity from the power source to points of consumption. In the USA, the choice

was A.C. power at 60Hz. By 1891, Tesla and Edison had already studied some physiological

effects of A.C. EM fields. It is of interest to note that in 1891, electric lights were installed in

the White House for the first time but were not placed in the rooms frequently used by the

President because they were considered too dangerous. Over the last 30 years, the industrialand home applications of A.C. power have increased drastically. Every aspect of human

activities has become totally dependent on electricity. Microwave cooking, which was

originally developed for use in submarines, became available for civilian applications. Low EM

fields incandescent light bulbs were replaced with high EM field fluorescent lighting. AM and

FM broadcasting stations contribute significantly to the background radiofrequency (RF) noise

in major cities. In 15 large cities of the USA, the median exposure in the RF bands was 50uW/m

2 , with 1% of the population exposed to levels greater than 10 mW/m 2 . Compared to the

levels present prior to power lines and radio stations, the current levels are between 1000 and

10 million times greater, and all this occurred in just a few decades. Even outside the RF

window, EM energies have increased drastically in the low frequencies. For example, at the

power line frequencies of 50-60Hz, magnetic fields measured around the world 8 years ago

were on the average 10 million times higher than natural background in this frequency range.

Consequently, artificial EM radiations over a wide range of frequencies have reached levels

that adversely affect human health and performance. These high levels of artificial EM fields

    have been called EM pollution.

    * 1 watt (w) = 1000 milliwatts (mW); 1 mW = 1000 microwatts (uW); 1 uW = 1000 nannowatts

    (nW); 1 nW = 1000 picowatts (pW).

II. THE PROBLEM OF EM POLLUTION

The increased awareness of this EM pollution problem has stimulated some research

studies recently and has required government agencies in several countries to set standards

for limits of exposure at home and at work. These research studies have revealed that the

electric and magnetic field components of the EM frequencies of 60Hz used in the USA and

Canada and of 50Hz used in Europe, are harmful to humans and animals after relatively short

periods of exposure at relatively low energy levels. They produce a stress reaction in the body

that suppresses the immune system and creates psychological and physical problems such as

desynchronization of biological rhythms in some individuals. Those individuals have been

diagnosed by some physicians as suffering from EM field sensitivity. The diagnosis is made by

exposing the EM sensitive subjects to a wide range of EM field frequencies in order to find theoffending frequencies. One approach used to treat this problem is to expose the subjects to

neutralizing frequencies by testing EM field frequencies until the neutralizing frequencies

are found, while exposing the subjects to the offending frequencies. Then, the neutralizing

frequencies are used to treat the subjects. Needless to say, this is very time consuming and

does not always work. The ideal situation would be one frequency that could prevent, in all

sufferers, the harmful health effects of EM pollution. Wishful thinking? Maybe not, as we shall

    see later.

III. THE HEALING AND SYNCHRONIZING EFFECTS OF THE SCHUMANN FUNDAMENTAL

    FREQUENCY

The principal components of the natural EM spectrum over the steady earth EM fields are

the Schumann resonances, also called the earth-ionosphere cavity resonances, discovered by

W.O. Schumann in the mid 1950s and extensively studied over the last 30 years. The

Schumann resonances are believed to be powered by lightning which occurs 100 times every

    second worldwide.

It is very important to understand the concept of resonance. The principles of resonance are

at work when a person pushes a child in a swing: the greatest effect will be achieved for the

least effort if the force is applied at the natural frequency of the swing and in phase with the

motion. Resonance usually refers to the large absorption of energy and the resultant large

amplitude of motion that occurs when a vibrating system is driven by an external force at its

    natural frequency of vibration.

    6/29

Every atom, molecule and cell in the human body have natural frequencies. Even the

human body itself has natural frequencies and will absorb EM energy maximally when the

wavelength of the EM radiation is about 2.5 times the height of the individual. This whole body

resonance occurs at frequencies present in EM energy Window II. Only certain discrete

frequencies of EM energy can resonate with and be absorbed by these atoms, molecules, cells

and the human body. There is a window effect for both frequencies and amplitudes of EM

energy. Below and above that window, no significant effect is observed.

Among the resonant frequencies whose energy is absorbed by biological systems, some are

stimulatory and beneficial and others are suppressive and harmful. The mechanisms of action

of EM field on living organisms is believed to be via the lipid (fatty acid) membrane around the

cell, which is the functional unit of all living organisms. Calcium traffic across that membrane

serves as a trigger for several physiological and biochemical reactions. Some EM field

frequencies suppress the efflux (exit) of calcium from the cells, causing a buildup of calcium inthe cells. Too much calcium in the cells blocks energy utilization and eventually leads to

cellular calcification and destruction. Magnesium is a natural calcium blocker, prevents cellular

buildup of calcium, and the harmful effects of excess intracellular calcium. For the above

reasons, it is very important to have adequate magnesium intake in order to minimize the

harmful effects of A.C. EM fields. At the average level of the earth magnetic field, a 60Hz AC

field would be very close to the cyclotron resonance frequency of magnesium, favoring influx

of magnesium inside the cells. However, optimization of this effect would require adequate

levels of magnesium in the extra cellular fluid. Since the majority of the US population suffers

from magnesium deficiency and ingests excess calcium, these conditions favor calcium over

magnesium. Adequate magnesium intake (1000mg/day) would reverse this trend, and would

use the 60Hz field to advantage. Magnesium has another beneficial effect. Exposure to EM

fields causes the release of catecholamines from the central nervous system. These brain

hormones in excess cause a stress reaction in the body, which results in anxiety,

desynchronization of biological rhythms and suppression of the immune system. Adequate

magnesium levels prevents this effect of EM fields on the central nervous system, resulting in

an overall calming effect. Take the magnesium supplement without calcium and in divided

doses over the day to prevent the laxative effect.

Resonance series possess a fundamental frequency and harmonics. The harmonics are

higher frequencies in multiple of the fundamental which is the first harmonic. The

fundamental possesses the highest amplitude energy. Under certain conditions, the energy

contained in the frequency of higher harmonics can be transduced into amplitude energy of

the fundamental. The fundamental of the Schumann resonance series has an average

frequency of around 8Hz. For comparison, the human heart has a frequency of around 1Hz in

the adult and 2Hz in the newborn.

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    7/29

The Schumann resonance series most likely play a very important role in human health

since the most important organ in the human body, the brain, locks on those frequencies and

uses the fundamental frequency as an external pacemaker. The brain waves contain the same

range of frequencies as the Schumann resonance series (see Table I). In animals and in man,

the fundamental frequency plays an important role in selforganization and processing of

newinformation. Among the brain waves studied in animals during activities, the frequency of

7.8Hz contains the highest power spectrum (energy level). It seems as if the brain is

concentrating most of its energy on that frequency, even at the expense of other frequencies.

The Schumann fundamental frequency has the most widespread coherence in certain parts of

the brain and is implicated in orienting attention, memory processing, motivation and

    movement control (coordination).

Studies in humans have shown the Schumann fundamental to be beneficial and to give a

sense of well being. This frequency is between the alpha and theta bands of EEG tracings andhas been confused with the alpha band. However, EEG frequencies above 10Hz in the alpha

band have been associated with the startle response, stress and anxiety. Such effects are

opposite to those observed with the Schumann fundamental. Several studies of healers reveal

that during the few seconds when the healer is transmitting healing energy, his (or her) brain

waves centered around 7-8Hz, and the brain waves of the healer and patient became

frequency and phase synchronized (see references in section 4). In one study during the

healing session, the healers brain waves became both frequency and phase synchronized with

the Schumanns fundamental 7.8Hz of the earth-ionosphere cavity.

    Table 1

High frequencies from microwave to infrared have been detected during healing sessions

from the hand of healers. One possible explanation for the wide range of EM frequencies

detected during healing sessions: The higher frequencies are the carrier waves, modulated by

the Schumann fundamental. The carrier frequencies would dictate the location of EM energy

delivery depending on the natural frequencies in those locations, whereas the Schumann

fundamental would deliver the healing energy. The relative permittivity of human tissues to

the Schumann fundamental is 1 million times higher than the microwave infrared frequencies.

Relative permittivity is a measure of EM energy storage by dielectrics. Therefore, the

Schumann fundamental is ideally suited to deliver large amounts of EM energy to biological

dielectrics such as the cell membrane, biopolymers and possibly structured water in biological

systems. Non linearity of these biological systems would allow demodulation of the complex

wave forms to release the energy of the Schumann fundamental in the biodielectrics.

The human body is a broadband transmitter covering the whole spectrum of EM energy

with peak intensity in the infrared band. The fact that healers can transmit healing energy to

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    8/29

others implies that harmful frequencies can also be transmitted by certain individuals, as

observed by C.W. Smith in EM sensitive subjects. Therefore, EM pollution could also come

from human transmitters, mainly in crowded environments.

The circadian rhythm (night-day cycle) of sleep/wakefulness, body temperature and

physical activity in man is very sensitive to the Schumann fundamental frequency. In studies

performed in human subjects living in shielded underground dwellings with artificial light-

darkness cycles, most subjects were able to maintain synchronization of their biological

rhythms and the artificial light-darkness cycles had no effect. In some subjects,

desynchronization occurred during the underground experiments. However, resynchronization

and maintenance of biological rhythms were achieved in most by exposure to low intensity EM

fields, pulsing at 10Hz, near the Schumann fundamental frequency.

The most striking difference between the conditions of the underground experiments and

the above ground normal human activities is the absence of EM pollution during the

underground experiments due to shielding. Surprisingly, most of the research subjects

experienced a sense of well being and wanted to participate again in the underground

experiments. These results suggest that in man, the external pacemaker for the circadian

rhythm is not light but another factor capable of penetrating deep underground to reach those

subjects, most likely, the Schumann fundamental frequency.

Based on the above studies regarding the beneficial effects of EM fields pulsed at 10Hz,

several European companies have manufactured and promoted over the last 30 years many

portable units emitting EM fields pulsed at 8-10Hz. Those units were claimed to synchronize

biological rhythms and to serve as a shield against intentional (psychotronic warfare) and

unintentional EM pollution. The popularity of these devices was mainly due to clinical studies

done by Manfred Kohnlechner in Germany, demonstrating a deterioration of the health of

villagers after installation of power lines and radio stations. As we shall see later, these units

were missing an important EM component which is more fundamental and results in greater

    shielding effects than EM fields.

There is a struggle going on between the artificial 50-60Hz and the natural 8Hz for control of

human biological rhythms and for control of the human brain. The 50-60Hz army has many

allies such as high frequency radiowave and microwave radiations at home, on the road and at

work. The constant struggle between natural 8Hz and artificial 50-60Hz is very stressful on the

body, suppressing the immune system and decreasing mental and physical performances.

    IV. EM Fields and Potentials

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    9/29

EM radiations contain five quantities: the velocity of propagation; the electric and magnetic

fields; and the electric scalar and the magnetic vector potentials. It has been proposed that the

fields interact with the electrons on the surface of atoms whereas the potentials interact with

the nucleus at the center of atoms. The fields can be shielded. They have relatively short rangeeffects. Their penetrating power is proportional to their wave length; the longer the wave

length, the more penetrating the EM fields are. The potentials can go through solid metal, can

travel long distances and have long range effects. They propagate in the space time/vacuum

(empty space) as concentric spherical waves. The electric scalar potential represents a series of

alternating energy densities and energy rarefactions propagating in the spacetime/vacuum.

Tesla made the analogy to sound waves propagating in the ether at the speed of light. The

magnetic vector potential is the energy flow (potential current) that moves from higher energy

densities to lower energy densities of electric scalar potential waves. According to recent

research studies, both EM potentials play an important role in biological systems.

EM fields and potentials are interconvertible. This was clearly demonstrated mathematically

by Whittaker. Published in 1903 and 1904, his two papers contain the validation for the EM

field-potential interconvertibility concept. In one paper, 1903, he showed that one EM

potential could be the result of destructive interference of two EM fields of equal energy but

180 degrees out of phase. In this situation, the fields are cancelled out, but the energy and

information are still present in the EM potential. The fields energy is enfolded like inside a

potential scroll. In the 1904 paper, Whittaker explained how one EM field could be made up of

two EM potentials. In this situation, the EM field is the outfolded energy of two interfering EM

potentials. This mathematical discovery opened new applications never before thought

possible. For example, information contained inside EM fields can be enfolded inside EM

potentials, carried through great distances at speed greater than the speed of light. The

information is then delivered in the potential scroll to the recipient who then outfolds the

potential scroll to read the EM fields information. This is one of the mechanisms of

communication between living organisms and biological systems. The information contained in

the potential waves can also be imprinted directly into structured water of biological systems.

The reason much more is known about the fields is because they can be measured

accurately due to their interaction with electrons. The technology to measure the potentials is

not widely available at this time. Until very recently, the fields were the only quantities

believed to have any real effect and the potentials were considered as convenient

mathematical quantities without any real physical effect. However, some 30 years ago,

following a series of classical experiments in quantum physic, the potentials, not the fields,

were proven to be the primary movers and shakers.

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    10/29

Based on the most recent publications, it appears that the fields have short-range effects

whereas the potentials have long-range effects in biological systems. Transfer of

bioinformation occurs via the potentials not the fields. The biocommunication between living

organisms startswith EM fields in both directions (the handshake) which then cancel each

other by destructive interference, leaving just the EM potential as the private line of

communication for serious transactions. The potentials have veto power over the fields.

For beneficial and harmful frequencies, the EM potentials have greater effects than the EM

fields. The fact that EM potentials have greater effects than EM fields implies that EM

potentials should be included in the assessment of EM pollution. Unfortunately, EM potential

energy cannot be routinely quantified at this time. The trend of wiring electrical systems in

pairs out of phase by 180 degrees would cancel the 60Hz EM fields but would generate 60Hz

EM potentials which are more harmful and cannot be measured. This would result in a false

sense of security. Bifilar wiring which generates EM potentials has already been adopted bythe electric blanket industry. Close proximity to the body for long periods of time would result

in greater exposure to 60Hz EM potential energy. In these cases, EM pollution

symptomatology would be misdiagnosed, the worse one being pseudopsychiatric. It has been

estimated that 20% of the U.S. population suffers from psychiatric problems and there is no

    need to increase further misdiagnosis.

So far, there is no information available on the human effects of power line frequencies

when the wiring system cancels EM fields and transforms them into EM potentials . A survey ofthe literature on the association of EM fields with childhood leukemia suggests that EM

potentials may be involved. Three-phase systems are generally used for long distance power

transmissions with a minimum of three parallel wires carrying currents out of phase by 120.

Two configurations are usually used: the Y and delta configurations, the only difference being

that a neutral ground wire is used in the Y system but not in the delta system. For the latter,

the primary side of single phase transformers are connected between pairs of numbered

terminals. Such pairing would favor cancellation of EM fields into EM potentials . Two studies

in Denver and Los Angeles showed a relationship between childhood leukemia and the delta

configuration but not the Y configuration. (See section 5 of reference: N. Wertheimer and S.J.

London). It is most unfortunate that electrical engineers have not been taught about the

reality of EM potentials, which are considered abstract mathematical entities.

The Schumann resonance series contain EM fields and potentials. The EM potential

component of the Schumann resonance was discovered by N. Tesla in 1899, while studying

thunderstorm lightnings in Colorado. He called the EM potentials non-Hertzian, to

differentiate them from the Hertzian transverse EM fields. Tesla was the first to design, build

and test a powerful emitter of potential waves in an attempt to reproduce in the laboratory

what he observed in nature. He called the EM potential emitter a magnifying transmitter.More than fifty years later, Schumann and others measured the EM fields (electric and

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    11/29

magnetic) of the Schumann resonance series and described clearly the resonance series in

different parts of the world. However, these authors did not realize that Tesla had already

discovered the EM potential component of the Schumann resonance fifty years earlier, and

they were not even aware of the significance of the potentials.

It is of interest to note that the human brain will lock on the Schumann fundamental

frequency in preference to higher and lower frequencies. Therefore, in the potential mode,

exposure to the Schumann fundamental would shield the brain from interference by both EM

fields and potentials pulsing at other frequencies, even if they contain much higher power

levels. The author has been able to confirm this by the shielding effect of a 12mW EM

potential wave emitter pulsing at 7.83Hz from symptoms caused by exposure to 60Hz EM

fields and potential at 5 watts, using a function generator. Preliminary data obtained in

collaboration with Juan Acosta Urquidi, using EEG tracings, suggest that the exposure to these

EM potential wave emitters pulsing at 7.83Hz, prevented entrainment by photic stimulation atvarious frequencies.

The healing energy captured and transmitted by healers is most likely the EM potential

component of the Schumann fundamental, which is less susceptible to interference by

ambient EM fields. Scalar resonance between the healers brain and the EM potential of the

Schumann fundamental would allow tapping the spacetime/vacuum energy at very high

frequencies, modulated by the Schumann fundamental. The absence of brain waves observed

    in certain altered state conditions

could be due to enfoldment of the brain waves EM fields into EM potentials by destructive

interference between the two lobes of the brain. Under such conditions, the brain would be

capable of energy exchange and communication at distance. Such mechanism of

biocommunication at distance between living organisms via EM potentials has been described

by F.A. Popp. (See section 2 in references).

Although shielding against EM fields can be achieved, the high-energy EM potential waves

present in the Schumann resonances can penetrate deep into matter. Since the mechanism offormation of the Schumann resonances favors standing waves, cancelling the EM fields of each

other by destructive interference, and therefore enfolding the EM fields into EM potentials,

most of the energy in the Schumann resonances would be expected in the EM potentials, not

the fields. Eventually, when the EM potentials of the Schumann resonances are measured,

their levels of energy will most likely be several orders of magnitude greater than those of the

EM field component. Maintenance of synchronization of biological rhythms in the subjects

during the underground experiments was achieved in all probability by the EM potential

component of the Schumann fundamental frequency. Essentially, these subjects were shielded

from EM pollution but received pure EM potential waves pulsing at the Schumann

fundamental. These studies strongly suggest that the EM potential component of the

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    12/29

Schumann fundamental frequency plays the key role as external pacemaker for brain waves

and biological rhythms. In principle, the same conditions experienced in the underground

experiments could be reproduced above ground with the use of an EM potential shield.

The practical implication of these research findings is that inside a potential shield,

pulsing at the Schumann fundamental frequency, and with adequate intensity to override the

EM pollution, the human brain mainly and the rest of the body also can ignore the

environmental EM pollution. They can go about their normal health maintenance business in a

calm and relaxed manner like the good old days, instead of FEMA-911 style crisis management

    of artificial fields interference.

The chronological sequence of events during the research studies on both the Schumann

resonance series and on the physical reality of the EM potentials is so well synchronized; the

knowledge gained from these two discoveries so effectively blended to synthesize the concept

of potential shield; and the timing of the potential shield so appropriate at a moment

when EM pollution reached levels high enough to cause physical and mental problems in a

    significant proportion of the population at large; that pure chance occurrence seems unlikely;

with divine intervention and guidance most probable (see Table II).

I the Lord am your Healer Exodus 15:26

In 1952, both discoveries were published in preliminary forms. In 1960, both discoveries

were confirmed by others. Over the last 36 years, concurrent with the escalation of the EM

pollution, the Schumann resonance series were measured throughout the world; the

importance of the fundamental as external pacemaker for brain waves and biological rhythms

demonstrated in animals and humans. The EM potentials became eventually accepted by

physicists as real movers and shakers; their importance in biocommunications between whole

organisms and between cells demonstrated. It seems as if two invisible armies are at war, with

the bounty being human minds and souls. One side favors wellinformed human beings with afree will and with a sound mind in a sound body. The other side is subtly changing certain

environmental conditions in such a way to eradicate free will and by so doing, to zombify and

enslave mankind. At the individual level, the outcome will depend on

knowledge and the intelligent use of this knowledge.

My people perish for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6

Some scientists have proposed that the healing energy used by healers comes from a higher

spiritual dimension, the Ultimate Reality. So far, so good. But instead of praising the Most High

God, Creator of heaven and earth, for this blessing, they are quoting traditional Eastern belief,

which called the source of this healing energy Chaitania, an East Indian derivative of the Arabic

word Chaitan, meaning in English Satan.

    Amazing!! Just amazing!!

    V. The Concept of a Potential Shield Against EM Pollution

The concept of a potential shield against EM pollution evolved over the last 20 years from

the synthesis of two discoveries: the importance of the Schumann fundamental as a

pacemaker for synchronization of biological rhythms and the biological importance of the EMpotentials (Table II). According to theoretical physics, the EM potential waves do not dissipate

their energy and maintain the same intensity indefinitely in the spacetime/vacuum, where EM

fields do not exist. This is true however,

in a space free from particulate matter, and for EM potentials with extremely high energy. For

all practical purposes, energy levels from EM potential waves emitters of low intensity (from

microwatts to low milliwatts of average power consumption) do dissipate over distance,

probably due to interaction with nuclei of atoms in the environment and also, due to

outfolding of the EM potential waves into EM fields by artificial and natural magnetic fields.

Their shielding effect decreases with increased distance from the emitter. Their radiativeintensity depends on their power consumption, whereas their effective radius of shielding

depends on the size of the emitting antenna. The stronger the EM pollution, the greater the

radiative intensity required for the shielding effect. The greater the effective radius of

shielding needed, the larger the emitting antenna must be.

    table2.gif

For practical purposes, a small portable emitter of electric scalar and magnetic vector

potential waves, pulsing at the Schumann fundamental, simple to operate would be best in

order to have the potential shieldwithin effective distance during daily activities at places

where EM pollution is relatively high. The power supply needs also to be small for the same

reasons. Therefore, the ideal unit should be very efficient with minimal heat loss. Power

consumption should be just enough to supply a potential shield that neutralizes within

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    14/29

reasonable distance the average EM pollution encountered at home, at work and during

    transit.

The Earth Resonance Generator(ERG) was the first portable EM potential wave emitter, available 20 years ago, as a shield against EM pollution. Sold by Vortex Industries, Tucson,

Arizona, the ERG was designed, built and tested by G.P. Flanagan, who did pioneering work in

this field. It consisted of a left hand twisted Mbius loop as the emitting antenna. The unit was

powered by two 9 volt alkaline batteries, with a power consumption of 14 microwatts. The

emitter design of the ERG was based on the discovery by German mathematician August

Ferdinand Mbius in 1868, of the first one sided object, the Mbius twisted loop; and on the

work of Sinichi Seike in the 1960s postulating that an electrically powered Mbius loop would

be able to emit gravity waves energy, which was different from EM fields. According to one

report, the ERG corrected the imbalance of acupuncture meridians caused by EM pollution.

The authors first experience twenty years ago with EM potential wave emitters as a shield

against EM pollution was with the ERG, and its beneficial effects were confirmed at close

range. A design patent was issued six years later to H.K. Puharich for an electric scalar potential

wave emitter as a shield against EM pollution, using a Mbius loop inside a digital watch, and

with a power consumption of a few microwatts. A latter modification using an analog watch

was marketed under the name of Tesla watch.

The research studies performed with the Tesla watch and another emitter are summarized

in Table III. The data are compiled from a monograph by Glen Rein entitled Quantum Biology:Healing with Subtle Energy, self published in 1992: An emitter of electric scalar potential

waves of a few microwatts pulsing at 8Hz, was able to: 1) Increase DNA repair. 2) Stimulate

proliferation of lymphocytes in vitro, with a 137% increase proliferation over controls. A similar

device emitting EM fields only, pulsing at 8Hz increased proliferation by 34% only, suggesting

that the frequency of 8Hz is beneficial in both EM components, but with four times greater

effect with the EM potential. 3) Inhibit nor-epinephrine uptake by nerve cells by 19% over

controls. Since some anti-depressants work by inhibiting norepinephrine uptake by nerve cells,

EM potential waves could have anti-depressive effects. 4) Increase the amplitude of brain

waves in normal subjects, mainly in the low frequencies. Increased amplitude of the low

frequencies of brain waves implies increased mental alertness. According to the monograph by

Glen Rein, entrainment of brain waves to an external EM field (the ability to synchronize brain

waves to an external EM field frequency) could be prevented by the Mbius loop design,

confirming the shielding effect of EM potential waves from environmental EM fields.

    15/29

In Table IV are displayed several emitter designs of EM potential waves, and their effects on

EM potential components present in the surrounding space. The Mbius loop design emits

mainly electrical scalar potential, but is deficient in magnetic vector potential. The magnetic

vector potential is important for imprinting bioinformation

into water. For example, a caduceus coil design, capable of emitting both EM potentials (TableIV), was able to stimulate lymphocyte proliferation by direct exposure, like the Mbius loop,

but also, indirectly by imprinting the complex frequency information into water which was

used for incubation of the lymphocytes (Table III). Since the body is composed mainly of water,

the absence of the magnetic vector potential would limit the information storage capability

and the overall effects of the emitter. Besides the low power level, the missing magnetic

vector potential component may explain why response to the electrical scalar potential

emitted by the Mbius coil was unpredictable in a clinical setting. Quoting G. Rein, Even when

individuals who are sensitive to scalar energy are predetermined and isolated from the rest of

    the population

under study, they show a highly variable response to treatment. These problems make it

difficult to study the healing properties of scalar energies in a clinical setting.

VI. RATIONALE FOR THE DESIGN OF THE SYNCHROTON

    SCALAR SYNCHRONIZERS

It is still not known how to provide an electromagnetic pollution-free

environment compatible with modern demands for frequency allocations

in an already overcrowded electromagnetic spectrum.

Smith and Best: Electromagnetic Man , 1989.

The rationale for the design of the Synchroton Scalar Synchronizers is to make available

small portable units in the milliwatts range for the study of the effects of EM potential waves,

pulsed at the Schumann fundamental frequency, on subjects who are sensitive to EM

pollution. EM potential emitters contain 3 components functioning in close interaction: the

power supply, the driver, and the emitting antenna. Every one of these 3 components must be

optimized and integrated for best results. The types of EM fields and potentials emitted (See

Table IV) depends on the topology of the antenna.

    Table 4

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    16/29

Commercially available portable EM potential emitters either are deficient in power output,

being in the microwatts range and/or their antenna does not emit the magnetic vector

potential component. For the above reasons, they do not perform well in high EM pollution

environments. The power supply is also very important. Experiments by the author using the

than rechargeable batteries and AC/DC transformer type same emitting antenna and the same

driver but, with different power supplies revealed that for the same power consumption,

certain disposable batteries gave better results devices. Disposable batteries that were

charged by external sources performed as rechargeable batteries. The only disposable

batteries that seem to work well are those that possess their charges due to the chemical

    composition of the battery

itself. Based on field testing of EM potential wave emitters pulsing at 7.83Hz, with average

power consumption of 1.5 to 60 milliwatts, and using as emitting antenna non-inductive, self-

canceling coils, it takes at least three milliwatts of average power consumption to lift the

brain fog experienced by some subjects with sensitivities to EM fields . A minimum of 6

milliwatts is required for consistent shielding effect in different environmental conditions.

However, this was observed only with the proper power supply.

A case in point: one male subject, who suffers from EM field sensitivity and also petit mal

seizures, requiring phenobarbital, has previously tried some of the EM potential wave

emitters. He noticed an improvement of EM field sensitivity with one of the units in low EM

field environment but still suffers unpleasant reactions in front of the T.V. set or when at

shopping malls. No effect was observed on the symptoms of petit mal, which he experienced

three days out of every week. From the instant the

Synchroton Scalar Synchronizer Model C-30/6mW unit was turned on, he felt like a fog lifting

from his brain. Ever since that time, he feels comfortable in front of the T.V. set and enjoys

going shopping at malls without any unpleasant effects. He has not had any petit mal seizures

nor needs any medications over the past twelve months of usage, (as of this writing). If he

moves the unit away from him at less than arms length when at shopping malls, all the

unpleasant EM pollution effects return within seconds.

A chart is supplied with this booklet in order to evaluate the effectiveness of these units in

alleviating complaints of electrical sensitivities. From the published literature, the most

common complaints associated with EM pollution are listed in the chart with a code for scoring

severity of complaints. The chart is divided into four periods of seven days each, alternating

without and with the use of the units. Placebo units, emitting EM fields only, are also available

for confirming the safety and efficacy of this device. Evaluation of the unit should be

performed by the user and the healthcare provider as a team in order that the evaluation be

    as objective as possible.

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    17/29

The emerging field of quantum energy medicine could make use of these devices and

placebo units for the evaluation of EM potential waves both in vitro and in vivo in order to

differentiate biological and clinical effects of EM fields from those of EM potentials pulsing at

the Schumann fundamental. Low intensity emitters of EM potential waves have been available

on the market over the last 20 years. No unpleasant side effects have been reported so far.

    The experience obtained with the

Synchroton Scalar Synchronizer C-30 series confirms the safety of low intensity EM potential

emitters. However, there are several factors that must be optimized in order to achieve good

results. These factors become more critical at higher power settings.

    A. SPECIFICATIONS

The Synchroton Scalar Synchronizers Model C-30 series are electronic devices that emit

low intensity electromagnetic potential waves at 7.83Hz, using as emitting antenna, non-

inductive, self-canceling coils. (Specifications are displayed in Table V)

Average power consumption: 6 to 60 milliwatts.

Power output as potential waves: Unknown, due to inability to measure the intensity of theEM potential waves.

Power supply: two battery packs are available. A low power pack composed

of 2 lithium-ion batteries in parallel, at 3.6 Volts and a high power

battery pack composed of 2 lithium-ion batteries in series of 7.2 Volts.

The Synchroton units have been calibrated with these types of battery

only. For proper functioning, use only specified batteries which may be

    obtained from your supplier.

Signal to noise ratio = at least, 34dB (98% of the energy emitted is in

the form of EM potential waves).

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    18/29

Effective radius of shielding = three to twelve feet, depending on

power setting and EM pollution level. (Based on tests at homes and

work places in subjects with sensitivities to EM pollution). (See Table V)

The radius of shielding is measured in the following way: the test subject

is EM sensitive and experiences one or more of the complaints listed

in the centerfold questionnaire. The C-30 unit is turned on and placed

within 1 foot from the head of subject. When the subject becomes free

from these symptoms (less than one min.), the unit is moved away slowly

until there is a recurrence of the symptoms. At this point, the distance

from the head of the subject to the C-30 unit is measured just before

recurrence of symptoms. This is the radius of shielding. As a general

rule: 1) for the same environmental EM pollution, the greater the power

setting on the C-30 series, the greater the radius of shielding. With larger

antennas than those in the C-30 series, less power is required for same

radius of shielding but the larger antennas are bulkier and make the

potential wave emitter less practical as a personal portable unit. 2) For

the same power setting on the C-30 series, the greater the EM pollution,

the smaller the radius of shielding. 3) There are interindividual variations

also for the same EM pollution environment and the same C-30

    power settings.

    B. USE

The Synchroton Scalar Synchronizers are designed to be userfriendly, and easy to operate.

The power rocker switch in the units with fixed power and the rotating knob in the variable

power units are located on the top panel. To turn unit on, push down on right side of rocker

switch or set power between 5 settings. The red mini LED will start blinking.

When in a stationary position, place unit within 3 feet from your head for 6 and 12mW units

and from 3 to 12 feet for 60mW units, depending on intensity of EM pollution. Compare

results obtained when used continuously versus only during daytime or night-time. The effects

observed during exposure to the 6 and 12mW units within 3 feet of subjects are summarized in

    Table VI.

    Table 5

    A) Within seconds after turning the unit on, a sense of well being

with lifting of the brain fog, relaxation and a tendency to breath

deeply and slowly. Placebo units emitting EM fields had no

    effect.

    B) When at shopping malls, some subjects with EM field sensitivity

experience headaches, feel irritable, confused with blurring

of the mind (brain fog). With the unit on, the headaches

disappear instantly. They feel an instant clearing of the mind

with a sense of well-being and relaxation. They also notice

better control over their purchasing activities, becoming more

frugal and more selective. If the unit is moved away at arms

length, the headaches, irritability, confusion and the brain

    fog return within seconds.

    C) When the unit is used at night only, subjects observed a

better, more restful and deeper sleep, requiring less time in

bed to feel rested, refreshed and alert.

    D) Some expressions used to describe the effects are: clear mind,

grounded, balanced, lifting of a fog, more focused,

less stress out, better organized, feel lighter, feel

    cooler, more energy.

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    20/29

    E) Driving in congested traffic is not as stressful. Within seconds

after turning the unit off, the tension returns.

    F) In a home environment, children and pet dogs are less hyperactive

and more obedient after exposure. The children tend to

become more interested in creative activities, such as reading,

color painting and block building. Teenagers become more

cooperative and responsible, performing better in school.

    G) One violin teacher experimented with various power settings of

the C-30 series to study the effect on her performance and that

of her students. No effect was observed at 6 and 12mW but she

noticed a drastic improvement in performance on herself and

her students with the 60mW unit. She could concentrate better

on reading the scores and on playing them. The learning curve

of her students improved significantly when exposed to the

60mW unit during practice. When performing with several

students at the same time, she noticed the effect of the 60mW

unit on her students covered a radius of 10-12 feet.

    H) In five subjects (three male, two female) tested for grip strength

using a dynamometer in an office setting with fluorescent

lighting, a placebo unit emitting EM fields at 6mW

consumption had no significant effect, whereas, within 10

minutes of exposure to the 6mW unit, grip strength increased

in all five subjects by 5 to 10%. In an open field, far from power

lines, no effect on grip strength was observed.

Dr. Beata G. Priore, MD describes her experience with the C-30 unit 6mW in five children

with one of these problems: attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder,

    and sensory deprivation.

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    21/29

Working with parental consent and cooperation, five children were

exposed to the C-30 unit at bedtime only. Prior to this, various treatment

programs were tried without success: vitamin therapy; environmentally

clean homes; air filters; ozonators; and the Tesla watch.

After two months of exposure to the C-30 unit, the parents reported

better speech and longer forming sentences. The children paid more

attention than before, and the child with the hyperactive disorder was

sleeping longer. One of the parents called the C-30 unit the miracle

    box.

    Table 6

Dr. Peter Himmel, M.D. describes his experience with the C-30 unit 6mW in patients with

chronic fatigue syndrome and EM field sensitivity.

Four women ages 35-42, who met the 1994 CDC criteria for the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

used the C-30 unit on a schedule of three days on and two days off for a period of one month.

The patients were not told what to expect from the C-30 unit. Outcome measures were Likert

Scaling of fatigue, overall change in short term memory and attention span or ability to

concentrate; feelings of aches and pains; and degree of brain fog. Physical measures

included grip strength by a dynamometer, abnormal Rhomberg test, as well as tandem walking

test (measures of balance) and reflexes at the patella tendon.

There was consistent improvement in all parameters studied during the testing period

which was no longer present after two days off the C-30 unit. Grip strength improved some 10-

15% on average while the C-30 unit was on and returned to baseline values when the C-30 unit

    was off.

All reported their fatigue improved from an initial scoring of Poor to an after C-30 scoring ofFair or Good. No improvement was observed while the C-30 was off. Their memory and ability

  • 8/13/2019 Sin Croton

    22/29

to concentrate improved significantly also. The Rhomberg test and tandem walking test all

improved. In two of the four women, this could be seen within 15 minutes of the C-30 being

turned on. The patients reported an unusual feeling in their heads when the C-30 was first

turned on, described as a pressure or scrambling sensation followed within minutes by lifting

of their brain fog and improvement in neurological testing. The patients also reported little

in the way of sensitivity to electric fields (as when goingto malls or large stores), when using

the C-30 as compared to marked electrical sensitivity in all patients before using the C-30 or

when the C-30 was off. These initial results were impressive and are being followed by a

double-blinded, placebo-controlled crossover study with 15 women who have the Chronic

    Fatigue Syndrome.

In collaboration with Dr. Himmel and with patients cooperation and informed consent, a

double blind placebo-controlled crossover study was performed in 14 patients with chronic

fatigue syndrome (CFS). Preliminary testing in 7 CFS patients by a single blind trial revealedthat the 12mW setting gave best overall results, when comparison was made between EM

field emitter-placebo and Synchroton Scalar Synchronizer at power settings of 6, 12, 18, 36,

48 and 60mW. (Fig. 1). However, the 60mW setting gave the best results for improvement of

fatigue. It is of interest to note that in 7 patients with fibromyalgia tested in a similar fashion,

the 12mW setting gave overall best results. When asked which unit performed the best for

them, 6 chose the 12mW and one chose the 6mW. None chose the placebos emitting EM

fields at 7.83Hz. The double blind study of 14 CFS patients was part of a larger study involving

the administration of magnesium at 800mg/day. The results of this study will be the subject of

a future publication. Although many parameters were evaluated, two important ones are the

overall wellbeing and the Romberg test (sensory-motor test for cerebellar functions) which is

considered one of the best evaluations for assessing severity of CFS and response to

treatment. The results are tabulated inTable VII. There was a satistically significant

    improvement of both parameters

when exposure for one month to the Synchroton 12mW units was com pared to baseline

values and to values obtained after one month on placebo EM field emitters at 12mW pulsing

at 7.83Hz. These results seem to confirm R.O. Beckers suggestion that EM pollution may be a

contributing factor in CFS, which is widespread in the electronic industry.

There was evidence of a carry-over effect of the Synchroton on the Romberg test, since

the mean score of the 7 CFS patients who received placebos first, was not significantly

different from the baseline mean value, whereas the mean value of the 7 patients who were

exposed to the placebo after one month of exposure to the Synchroton unit was significantly

better than the mean baseline value.

(Very important study: exposure of subjects to low energy magnetic field at 60Hz decreased

the amplitude of brain waves. Such an effect could explain the

brain fog and decreased mental performance experienced by some EM sensitive subjects).

(The harmful effects of A.C. power at 60Hz must have been known in 1891 since precautions

were taken to protect the President from EM pollution at that time).
