Indian biscuits is the largest among all the food industries and has a  

turnover of Rs.3000 crores.India is known to be the second largest  

manufacturer of biscuits ,the first being U.S.A. It is classified under two

sectors ²organised and unorganized.Bread and biscuits are the major part of the bakery industry,and covers around 80% of the total bakery products

in India.Biscuit stand at a higher value and production level than

bread.This belongs to the unorganized sector of the bakery industry and

covers over 70% of the total production.

In 1929 a small company by the name of parle products emerged in

british dominated india.

 A small factory was set up in the suburbs of Mumbai,to manufacture

sweets and toffees.

 Apart from the factories in Mumbai and Bangalore Parle also hasfactories in bahadurgarh in Haryana and neemrana in rajasthan , which

are the largest biscuits and confectionery plants in the country .

 Additionally , Parle Products also has 7 manufacturing units and 51

manufacturing units on contract.

PARLE PRODUCTS with its wide platter of offering of biscuits andsweets like PARLE ² G , KRACKJACK, MONACO,

MELODY,MANGO BITE and many others since 1929 is also actively 

engaged to change & uplift the social face of India .

In a short span of time PARLE BISCUITS PVT. LTD. ,RUDRAPUR has been able tomake a landmark in its field with the help of the above mentioned strategies.

some of the basic achievements of the company are as under:

1) Innovation of new marketing strategies has helped the company in maximising the

 wealth of the organisation.2) Company has developed new and advanced technology for the manufacturing of 

 various types of products.

3) Company has enhanced the packaging strategies too ,in order to attract the

customers.

4) Company has introduced several programmes for the upliftment and motivation of 

the workers,such as family day, naturopathy etc. which opens new ways to appraisethe performance of the workers.

5) Parle has commited to attract and nurture fresh talent,to use their force in attaining 

its organisational target.

The project "Strategies of Human Resource in PARLEµ, helped in

fulfilling the following objectives:

1) To understand the importance of human resource in the organisation

.

2) Through this we come to know about the various strategies being 

used by the H.R manager in PARLE.

3) This study helped in analysing the behaviour of the employees and to

analyse which strategy is appropriate for the different levels of the

employees.
