OLEDOLED displays are targeted to replace LCD and TFT displays since the optical characteristics are an improvement over passive and most active matrix LCD technologies.

Because OLED is a bright light-emitting technology, it has an unrivalled image in contrast and viewing angle, combined in a super flat and compact package. For a number of applications OLED has also overtaken LCD technology based displays in price.

OLED displays are unique in performance. Displays are developed to directly replace LCD modules at comptitive pricing.

Currently OLED is still growing towards the industrial market. Monochrome types are available as COG and COB type. Most of the full color OLED displays can be found in COG package.OLED is mostly available with PCAP (projected capacitive) touch only. Customization is not common yet for the glass design, but PCB changes are available upon request.

TFTVisual feedback generated by displays is all around us, either mobile or in fixed applications. Indoor and outdoor we are surrounded by displays big and small. The current display (glass) suppliers have seen many new opportunities to serve us with the latest technologies ranging from very wide viewing angles and curved screens. Major Brands: we source and provide brands like Innolux, AUO, CMO, Tianma, etc.

Improved technologies are generated by the consumer market that is evolving further as we speak. Industrial market customers benefit from extended performance and long term availability. It is our privilege to source these kind of products that mix the best of both worlds.

The small size displays (1 inch and up) are very slim, narrow frame, bright and low power. Depending on the needs, they can be offered with wide temperature, high brightness and wide viewing angles.Several displays have more intelligent interfaces such as control-ler on board or integrated V-Com / T-Con board to save effort in development and assembly into the application. DISPLAY KITSDisplay kits are a combination of display and interactivity. By enhancing displays with a touchscreen a “language free” combination is created. Such kits are suitable for narrow casting circuits, point-of-interest interactive systems or vending machines.

RUGGED MONITORS and STAND ALONE SYSTEMSRugged LCD Monitors suited for transportation, industrial and commercial applications as panel- or rack mount, daylight / sunlight readable, closed or open frame designs, both standard off-the-shelf or full custom products.Optional environmentally sealed to NEMA 4(X) & IP6x ratings to prevent dirt, dust, moisture and water penetration.

DISPLAY CAPABILITIESIn the world of displays, certain typical optical enhancement options are commomly used. In case the space for a display is limited, We suggest you take a look at our special designs that are minimal in size.Demanding ambient environment may require higher brightness, anti-reflection, optical bonding, impact protection or e.g. very wide temperature operation.In all of these cases, solutions are available for displays in different sizes and shapes. Improvements in contrast, viewing angle (“O-film”) and other needs are met at competitive prices and a mini-mum of lead time increase. Optical Bonding is explained below as one of our standard options.

What is Optical Bonding?Optical bonding is a process that uses optically clear adhesive (OCA - e.g. transparent adhesive film, optical transfer tape). OCA is more common and more cost efficient than optically clear resin (OCR - e.g. liquid adhesive, optical resin) or to affix the glass or touch screen to the front of the glass, filling the (miniscule) air gap. The most cost effective way of optical bonding is DSA (Double Sided Adhesive).

EPCEmbedded PC boards (known as ePC) are single board products that have all the functionality integrated into one. The main sizes for these boards are in general the 3.5 inch, Nano- and Mini-ITX, COM-Express, PC/104(Plus) and Epic.The main focus is on boards that fit industrial specifications and long term availability. Important advantage is the low cooling capacity requirement. It is therefore important to have low power consumption at the highest performance. Latest technology and fast low profile CPU’s are combined with high performance components for external communication ports and internal processing. Long life cycle design and legacy product support are there to decrease design changes.

SMARTIn addition to displays that need intelligent interfacing, there are also products that are direct plug-in to a host or have a microprocessor integrated. Customers can have a high level of integration available as a standard product. The smart displays are available as LCD/OLED or TFT.

The cost effective entry level devices for simple applications are equipped with the necessary basic I/O functions. Applications that don’t need high power processor speeds we offer the right product at reduced cost and quick time-to-market.

Only slightly thicker than regular TFT displays, the units offer function-ality that are needed to operate as a “slave” unit for hosts without the need for high speed data transfer or fear of loss of data over longer distances.
