La magie de Roland-Garros engendre une foule d’émotions, qui nous accompagnent parfois toute notre vie. Cette magie a un avenir, dans un nouveau stade…

Du vent dans les arbres, le chant des oiseaux, un air plus doux, et puis Roland-Garros… Si pour chacun de nous, l’été s’annonce de mille manières, le bruit des balles ou la danse élégante des joueuses et des joueurs participent au prélude de la belle saison. Le tournoi parisien constitue en effet un point de repère. Il annonce les grandes vacances ou rappelle des révisions fiévreuses. Il fait naître une

passion pour un jeu ou un héros et rassemble les familles. On le suit en douce ou au grand jour, au travail, dans son salon ou même en tribune… Roland-Garros est depuis longtemps entré dans nos vies.Mais si ce grand moment de l’année est bien plus qu’un jalon du calendrier, c’est parce

qu’il suscite de pré-cieuses émotions. Certaines d’entre elles nous marquent à vie, d’autres se renou-vellent chaque année, comme immuables, presque garanties… Ces émotions si pré-cieuses et ce repère si familier prendront demain une nouvelle

dimension dans un nouveau stade. Pour que la magie se perpétue.

1 le fonds des princesModernisé, cet espace sera réaménagé en une zonede compétition intégrant un court enterré de 2 200 places et des courts annexes, avec des gradins permanents. Le Fonds des Princes bénéfi ciera d’une meilleure accessibilitégrâce à une large allée paysagère.

2 noitasinagro’l ed tnemitâb el et le village de roland-garros

Ce bâtiment sera installé à deux pas du court central. Il offrira de nouveaux espaces de relations publiques et d’accueil (jardins suspendus, terrasse panoramique, Village de Roland-Garros), ainsi que des locaux et équipements dédiés à l’organisation sportive et logistique de l’événement.

3 reirtahc-eppilihp truoc el Le court Philippe-Chatrier sera doté d’un toit rétractable qui pourra être déployé en une quinzaine de minutes, afi n de garantir la continuité des matchs quelles que soient les conditions météorologiques, et de permettre la tenue de sessions de soirée. Le central, qui conserve ainsi son statut de stadede plein air, baigné de lumière et de soleil, sera également réaménagé pour améliorer le confort de ses différents publics.

4 la place des mousquetairesRéaménagée en une vaste esplanade verte de plus d’un hectare au cœur du stade, la nouvelle place des Mousquetaires est pensée comme une zone de détente. Elle offrira un espace de respiration et favorisera une meilleure fl uidité des déplacements. Hors tournoi, la place sera ouverte au public.

5 le court des serresEn remplacement de l’actuel court n°1, un nouveau court, de près de 5 000 places, sera érigé dans la partie sud-est du Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil. Semi-enterré, le court des Serres sera enchâssé entre 4 serres proposant l’exploration de la fl ore de 4 continents. L’allée des serres, qui reliera le nouveau court au site historique, offrira un lieu de respiration et de déambulation pour les spectateurs.

The Fonds des PrincesThis area will be modernised and adapted to become a competition area which includes a sunken 2,200-seater court and other outside courts with permanent concrete stands. The Fonds des Princes will have improved accessibility courtesy of a wide landscaped walkway.

Tournament organisation building and Roland- Garros VillageThe former building will be set up right next to Centre Court and include new public relations and reception areas (hanging gardens, panoramic terrace, Roland-Garros Village) as well as buildings and facilities dedicated to the sporting and logistical organisation of the event. Philippe-Chatrier CourtPhilippe-Chatrier Court will be fitted with a retractable roof which can be closed in around 15 minutes, to guarantee continuity of matches regardless of the weather, and to allow night sessions to be played. Centre Court will thus remain an outdoor arena bathed in sunlight, and it will also be modified to improve the comfort levels of the various users.

The Place des MousquetairesThe new Place des Mousquetaires will be adapted to form a vast esplanade of greenery occupying over a hectare in the heart of the stadium and designed as an area for rest and relaxation. It will give spectators a chance to catch their breath for a while and also make it easier for them to get around the stadium. Outside tournament configuration it will also be open to the general public.

The Court des SerresTo replace the current No.1 Court, a new court with almost 5,000 seats will be built in the south-east sector of the Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil. The Court des Serres will be semi-sunken and surroun-ded by four greenhouses which will contain flora from four different continents. The Allée des Serres will link the new court to the historic site and provide an area for spectators to relax and stroll.
