This includes home health services, assisted living and residential care. • We want our seniors to be able to live in the communities that they call home for as long as possible in an environment that treats them with the dignity and respect they deserve. • B.C. now has almost 32,000 residential care, assisted living and group home beds — an increase of over 6,500 beds since 2001. This is in addition to modernizing, upgrading and replacing thousands of beds that failed to meet care needs.
