Your villaStarred member since 2004 of the Relais & Châteaux association, of which it is the sole representative in Madagascar, the Lodge meets 4* superior international standards.Facing the sea, each of the 24 rosewood villas borders the main beach of the huge private estate of the Lodge.ken treasure. BeachesAs it is sometimes difficult to choose, Anjavy Lodge has laid out and cleared the secret paths which lead to the 7 creeks: you will often be alone in this world, facing the Mozambique channel. At most there might be a few fishing boats with triangular sails crossing the horizon to interrupt your gaze. As for the beach, you won’t have to look far for it, the coral tsingys border it and it goes all along the lodge...The 200 metre infinity pool is filled with sea water...Can you make a choice for today?

BirdsA paradise for birds and bird watchers alikeMany beautiful, rare and endemic birds make their homes in the gardens and Reserve, making it a rewarding place for those of an ornithological persuasion. It is one of the best places to spot the regal Madagascar Fish Eagle, shy Crested Ibis, or rare Madagascar Sacred Ibis.Another frequent visitor to the gardens is the impressive Madagascar Harrier Hawk, which raise havoc amongst the lemurs and smaller birds that live in fear of its sharp talons. Keep your eye out for other birds of prey that visit the reserve, like France’s Sparrowhawk and Henst’s Goshawk. Even if birdwatching isn’t your thing, you can’t help but be enchanted by the kaleidoscope of colours and shapes of the Reserve’s common birds, from the vibrant Red Fody and Souimanga Sunbird to the exotic Paradise Flycatcher and Sickle-billed Vanga. Most days crowds of jewel-green Grey-headed Lovebirds feed on the lawn while our guests enjoy their breakfast nearby.
