M220E est un téléphone filaire multifonction évolué avec afficheur.Votre M220E dispose de la fonction Mains Libres qui permetde converser avec un correspondant sans avoir le combiné enmain. Vous pouvez ainsi vous déplacer et converser les mainslibres autour du poste, sans contrainte. Conseils et sécurité :Cet appareil doit être utilisé à une température comprise entre 5°C et 45°C. Ne pasinstaller l’appareil dans une pièce humide. Dans les zones à risques d’orages fréquents, protégez l’appareil avec un dispositif deprotection contre les surtensions électriques (obligatoire dans certains départements) etvérifiez que votre assurance couvre ce type de dégâts.Raccordement électrique : alimentation sur réseau 230 V, courant alternatif mono-phasé à l’exclusion des installations à schéma IT définies dans la norme EN 60-950.Attention, la tension du réseau est classée excessive selon les critères de la mêmenorme. Par précaution, en cas de danger, le bloc d’alimentation secteur sert de dispositif de sectionnement de l’alimentation 230 V. Il doit être installé à proximité dumatériel et être aisément accessible.Raccordement téléphonique : les tensions présentes sur ce réseau sont classées TRT(Tension Réseau Téléphonique) au sens de la norme EN 60-950.Le marquage CE atteste de la conformité des produits aux règlements techniquesapplicables à la date de l’agrément conformément respectivement aux Directives etdispositions complémentaires 73/23/CEE pour la sécurité usagers et 89/336/CEEpour les perturbations électromagnétiques.

A la réponse de votre correspondant, vous pouvez converser.

Utiliser la fonction Mains Libres 1 - Appuyez sur la touche .Vous entendez la tonalité et le voyant de la touche s’allume.2 - Composez le numéro de votre correspondant. A la réponse de ce dernier, vous pouvez converser les mainslibres, à environ 50 cm autour de l’appareil.

• Pour passer en conversation discrète et interrompre la fonctionMains Libres, décrochez le combiné.

Le haut-parleur se coupe automatiquement.Remarque : dans ce cas, vous pouvez converser de manièretotalement confidentielle à travers l’écouteur et le micro du combiné.Le micro intégré et le haut-parleur de la base sont coupés.

• Pour repasser en conversation Mains Libres, appuyez ànouveau sur puis raccrochez le combiné.

Remarque : dans ce cas, vous devez raccrocher le combinécar celui-ci devient inutilisable. Lorsque vous utilisez la fonctionMains Libres, vous ne pouvez pas utiliser en même temps lecombiné et inversement.

Utiliser la fonction BIS Le dernier numéro composé reste en mémoire jusqu’à la com-position d’un nouveau numéro.• Décrochez le combiné ou appuyez sur ,

puis appuyez sur .La ligne est prise et le numéro composé automatiquement.

• Pour effacer le numéro mémorisé dans le , décrochez,tapez au clavier puis raccrochez.

M220E dispose d’un répertoire alphanumérique de 3mémoires à accès direct et de 20 mémoires à accès indirect(20 caractères maximum pour le numéro, y compris *, # et10 caractères maximum pour le nom).

3 - Saisissez le nom à l’aide des touches du clavier en utilisant les correspondances des touches avec les lettres. Pour cela :- Sélectionnez la lettre désirée par appuis successifs sur latouche correspondante.- Attendez 2 secondes pour valider la lettre et passer à l’em-placement suivant.- Pour saisir un espace, un tiret ou une barre, appuyez suc-cessivement sur la touche 1.

• Appuyez sur pour effacer une saisie, si besoin.

Si votre M220E est directement raccordé sur le réseaupublic : il vous permet d’utiliser les services proposés par lesOpérateurs, pour la plupart accessibles par abonnement.

Identification de l’appelant*Le service d’identification de l’appelant, permet de connaîtrel’identité de l’appelant (numéro ou éventuellement nom) avantd’entrer en communication avec celui-ci.Si vous êtes abonné à l’identification de l’appelant, au premierappel, l’horloge s’affiche ; la mise à jour des heure et date est automa-tique.

• Dès qu’il sonne, l’écran affiche le numéro de votre corres-pondant.

• Lorsque le correspondant appartient au répertoire, l’écranaffiche son nom et son numéro alternativement.

• Lorsque le correspondant a souhaité protéger son identité,l’afficheur indique “xxxxxxx”.

• Lorsque le correspondant n’est pas reconnu (appel del’étranger, ou central non équipé de ce service) l’afficheurindique “Inconnu”.

• Lorsqu’un incident s’est produit dans l’identification du numé-ro d’un appelant, l’afficheur n’indique rien.Remarque : Si ce problème devait se reproduire fréquem-ment, contactez votre Opérateur.

Les appels non identifiés, ne sont pas mémorisés dans lejournal (voir page 12).

Associé au service Identification de l’appelant*, le journal desappels permet de mémoriser les appels reçus et non-répondus (30enregistrements d’appels), excepté les appels avec incidents. Un appel renouvelé plusieurs fois par le même appelant ne seramémorisé qu’une seule fois (le dernier appel). Lorsque le journal estplein, tout nouvel appel reçu efface le plus ancien (consulté ou non).

Le voyant rouge qui clignote, indique la présence d’au moins unnouveau message et l’afficheur indique :- le nombre de nouveaux messages (NEW),- le nombre total de messages enregistrés (TOTAL).

Consulter le journal des appels • Appuyez sur .Lorsque au moins un nouvel appel a été enregistré (**), l’afficheurindique le numéro du premier appel non consulté ainsi quel’heure et la date de l’appel. Si l’appelant figure dans le réper-toire, son nom est également présenté.

• Appuyez sur pour afficher l’appel suivant ou sur pour afficher l’appel précédent.

• Appuyez deux fois sur pour effacer l’appel affiché.

• Appuyez sur pour arrêter la consultation.

Advice and safety:Warning: do not install the equipment in a damp room. This equipment must beused at a temperature between 5°C and 45°C.In areas which are frequently subject to storms, protect the equipment with a devicewhich guards against electrical overvoltage and check that your insurance coversthis type of damage.Electrical connection: supply on 230V network, alternating monophase currentexcept for IT scheme installations defined in standard EN 60-950. Warning, thenetwork voltage is classed as excessive according to the criteria of this standard. As a precaution, in the event of danger, the mains supply block acts as a 230V sup-ply sectioning device. It must be installed near the equipment and easily accessible.Telephone connection: the network voltage is TNV1 classified (Telephone NetworkVoltage) in the context of standard EN 60-950.The CE marking attests to the conformity of the products with the technical regula-tions which apply on the date of approval in accordance with the Additional direc-tives and requirements 73/23/CEE for user safety and 89/336/CEE for electro-magnetic disturbance.

In case of poweroutage, the M220E willoperate partially. You may only send callsby picking up the handset.The memories are stored.

Calling in Handsfree mode 1 - Press the key.You hear the tone and the line busy light is on.2 - Dial your correspondent's number.When your correspondent answers, you can talk in Handsfreemode at approximately 50 cm around the set.

• To move to discreet conversation and interrupt the Handsfreefunction, pick the handset up from the base.

The loudspeaker is automatically off.Note: in this case, you can have a confidential conversationtrought the handset. The integrated microphone and the loud-speaker of the base are off.

• To return to Handsfree conversation, press and put thehandset back on the base.

Note: in this case you must put the handset back on the basebecauce it is unusable. When you use Handsfree function, youcan’t use the handset and inversely.

Calling the last number dialled (BIS)The last number you dial is stored in the memory up to dial ano-ther number.• Pick up the handset or press key,

and then press key.The line is seized and the number is dialled automatically.

• To delete the number stored in the , pick up the handset,then press key and put the handset back on the base.

Setting the loudspeaker or earpiece volume• Press the + or - keys to set:

- the loudspeaker volume in Handsfree mode,- or the earpiece volume in handset mode.

Using the secret functionYou are in conversation with a correspondent in Handsfree orhandset mode.• Press the key to cut off the Handsfree or handset's micro.The correspondent is no longer able to hear you. MUTE is dis-played.• Press the key again to re-establish the micro and continue the conversation with the correspondent.

M220E has an alphanumeric directory of 3-direct memoriesand 20-indirect memories. You may save the numbers (20 cha-racters max with *, #) and names (10 characters max) ofyour usual correspondents.

1 - Press the key.

2 - Press the key, then select a memory number (01 to 20) by typing it on the keypad.or press the , or keys.

3 - Enter the name using the correspondence between the keys and the letters as indicated below:• Select the letter required by pressing successively the corres-ponding key.• Wait (2s) to validate the entry and enter a letter in the nextlocation.• Press successively on the 1 key to enter space, - or /.

• Press the key to delete an entry if necessary.

4 - Press the key to enter the phone number.The screen displays the memory number (for example: M01).

5 - Enter the phone number.

6 - Press the key to confirm.2 bips are emitted. The memory is stored.

Repeat the sequence for the other memories.

• To stop the sequence when programming,press the key.

Your M220E is directly connected to the public network andallows you to access Operators services offered by subscrip-tion.

Caller identification*The Caller identification service allows you to identify a callingparty by number or by name (eventually) before establishingthe communication. Depending on your subscription, on the first call, the clockappears; the correct time and date are automatically set.

• As soon as a correspondent makes a call, the screen displaysyour correspondent's number.

• If the correspondent appears in the directory, the screen dis-plays your correspondent's number and name alternately.

• If the caller has protected his identity, the screen indicates“xxxxxxx”.

• If the correspondent has not been identified (foreign call orno equiped system), the screen indicates UNKNOW.

• If an incident occurs during the identification of a caller number, the screen indicates nothing.Note: if you meet this problem repeatedly, please contactyour Operator.

The unidentified calls are not stored in the log (see page 26).

The calls log is associated with the “Caller identification” serviceand used to store the calls which were received in your absenceand no answered (30 calls saved), except the no-identified calls.Repeated calls from the same correspondent are stored once only(the last one). When the log is full, a new call delete the older(consulted or not consulted).

The flashing red lamp, indicates the presence of at least 1 callwhich has not been consulted and the screen presents:- the number of new calls (NEW),- the number of stored calls (TOTAL).

Consulting the calls log• Press the key.When at least 1 new call is stored (**), the number of the firstnew call is displayed with date and time of calling. If the callerappears in the directory, the name is displayed alternately withthe number.

• Press the key to display the following call or press key to display the previous call.

• Press twice the key to delete the displayed call.

• Press the key to end the consultation.

Storing a log number in the directory When a call number is displayed:1 - Press the key and then key.2 - Press the key, then seize a memory number (01 to 20)

Message notification*If you have subscribed to a voice mail service, the icon,when it is displayed in the screen, informs you about arrivingof a new message in your voice mail box. This icon is put out by the voice mail system when all the mes-sages have been consulted.

Note: To receive the identification of your voice mail calls inthe call log, you can store its number and associated name(for example : Voice Mail) in a memory (see page 23).
