To describe past actions, the French use a past tense called the PASSÉ COMPOSÉ. Note the forms of the passé composé in the following sentences.

Déjà/ne……jamais
•The French use déjà to talk about things they have done ex. J’ai déjà voyagé en France.(I have already travelled to France).
•When déjà is used in a question, it usually translates as have you ever ex. Tu as déjà voyagé en France? (Have you ever travelled in France?)
•Ne…..jamais is used in the answer to say you have never done something ex. Je n’ai jamais voyagé en France. ( I have never travelled in France).
•Ne…….jamais goes around the conjugated verb in the present and past tense ex. Je ne parle jamais. ( just like ne…..pas).
