Le corten | Corten steelLe corten est un matériau qui s’allie parfaitement avec l’environnement naturel. Cet acier fait partie des autopatinables, qui se couvrent d’une couche protectrice appelée « Patine ». Cette dernière se teinte de nuances qui évoluent dans le temps et des changements de couleurs apparaissent selon la lumière et la température. Plus l’environnement est chaud et lumineux, plus l’aspect rouillé sera claire et inversement. Elle commence à se former après deux à trois semaines et se stabilise seulement au bout de 18 à 36 mois. Nous vous proposons du corten brut pour les bordures car ces dernières sont ancrées dans le sol, la patine se formera donc rapidement dans ce milieu. Pour les autres produits c’est le corten sablé qui a été sélectionné afin que l’aspect rouillé apparaisse de manière uniforme. Pour que la matière soit « marron » (activé) plus rapidement, nous vous conseillons de pulvériser la matière d’eau salée avec ¼ de sel et le reste en eau. Lorsque le résultat vous convient, il faudra le pulvériser à l’eau claire.

The corten is a material that combines perfectly with the natural environment. This steel is part of the self-matting, which is covered with a protective layer called «patina». The latter is tinged with shades that change over time and changes in color appear according to the light and the temperature. The warmer and brighter the environment is, the richer the appearance will be and vice versa. It begins to form after two to three weeks and stabilizes only after 18 to 36 months. We offer raw corten for edgings because they are anchored in the ground, the patina will be formed quickly in this environment. For other products it is the sanded corten that has been selected so that the rusty appearance appears uniformly. For the material to be «brown» (activated) faster, we recommend spraying the saltwater material with ¼ of salt and the rest in water. When the result is right for you, it should be sprayed with clean water.
