FASTENERS
CAUTION: At no time when servicing a vehicle, cana sheet metal screw, bolt, or other metal fastener beinstalled in the strut tower to take the place of anoriginal plastic clip. Also, NO holes can be drilled
into the front strut tower in the area shown in (Fig.7) for the installation of any metal fasteners into thestrut tower. Because of the minimum clearance inthis area (Fig. 7) installation of metal fastenerscould damage the coil spring coating and lead to a
corrosion failure of the spring. If a plastic clip ismissing, or is lost or broken during servicing avehicle, replace only with the equivalent part listedin the parts catalog.

CAUTION: Most of the electrical components usedin todays vehicle are solid state. When checkingvoltages in these circuits use a meter with a 10-me-gohm or greater impedance.
Oh mm et er - U s ed t o ch eck t h e r es is ta n ce
between two points of a circuit . Low or no resistance
in a circuit means good continuity.
CAUTION: - Most of the electrical components usedin todays vehicle are Solid State. When checking
resistance in these circuits use a meter with a10-megohm or greater impedance. In addition, makesure the power is disconnected from the circuit.Circuits that are powered up by the vehicle electri-
cal system can cause damage to the equipment andprovide false readings.
