DEVMCGILL A 20 ANS !
Je me rappelle nos débuts comme si c’était hier.
DEVMCGILL HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 20 YEARS!
It seems like just yesterday when we started out.
A lot of good faith, a great deal of energy, somewhat
homegrown means and an iron will, this is what
motivated us. Philippe Boisclair, Christian Dusablon
and I had to draw on our powers of persuasion
(and on our bottom dollar) to undertake the risky
acquisition of an old Hudson’s Bay warehouse and
transform it into a 12-loft jewel. With the help of
Jean Pelland, an architect who is now the senior
partner at Sid Lee, the magic happened.
The 100 McGill proved to be a major success and
set the stage for the creation of DevMcGill.
AN OUTCOME THAT SPEAKS
FOR ITSELF
The income generated by the DevMcGill’s projects currently amounts to $577 million. Over the last 20 years, the company has completed close to 50 commercial and residential projects, including 2,193 housing units and has received a great deal of acclaim and numerous awards.
What is left of our 20 years after exciting and acclaimed projects, including, among others, the Caverhill, the Outremont Convent, Benny Square, M9 and Castelnau? A great deal of passion, a sense of commitment, the pride that comes from a job well done and a strong desire to keep going much further. From now on, supported by Cogir Real Estate, this desire to surpass ourselves will prove to be solidly entrenched.
We are constantly motivated by the need to help enhance the built-up heritage and to act in such a way that many will enjoy an improved quality of life as a result. We are in-creasingly looking at mixed-use projects, a trend which lets us intelligently redefine our relationship with urban density. In addition, our desire to expand is making us look at major developments in Ontario.
And after 20 years, it’s only the beginning… Cheers!

VISION
Echoing the Castelnau project, one of the most
successful endeavours carried out by DevMcGill

definitely modern in the quality of its construction

DEVMCGILL .COM
1998 - 2018
MEDIAS
DevMcGill has been the subject of a great deal of coverage in real estate news over the years. The company has been able to generate interest in its successes and its exponential growth with its desire to integrate often run-down buildings into the built-up heritage, its increasingly large investments, its flair and its boldness. Its president’s good looks may have helped a bit. In any event, here a few excerpts which look back at the company’s growth through its words, its images and its actions.
