Purpose of the competition

• 1.1 OBJECTIVES OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS The objectives are to:

• a. Select the champion in each competition class on the basis of the pilot's performance in the tasks set;

• b. Foster friendship, co-operation and exchange of information among soaring pilots of all nations;

• c. Promote worldwide expansion of the public image of soaring;

• d. Encourage technical and operational development of the sport;

• e. Encourage the development of safe operational procedures, good sportsmanship, and fairness in the sport of soaring.

Why is this a green

event?

The purpose of the green event is to raise awareness about sustainability, and gliding. We just need a little bit of care… …and our great grandchildren can be glider pilots too… Something new, but already a tradition in Őcsény! (2011,2012,2014 Nationals were green events)

Each bathroom is cleaned using

ecolabelled, environmentally friendly

cleaning products (EU Ecolabel)

Toiler paper and paper towels are made

from recycled paper and bearing

ecolabels (EU Ecolabel, Blue Angel,

Nordic Swan)

Environmentally friendly soaps are

provided.

Ecolabelled paper is used in the scoring

office
