September is New Generations Month in the Rotarycalendar. This is the time forusasRotarians to focuson theprograms that support the development of youths and young adults.Ifwebelievethatyoungpeoplearetheleadersof tomorrow, we should then, support the development ofyouthsandyoungadultsinthemostbeneficialwayspossible.
Again, this reminds us of R.I President, John Kenny’s RotaryTheme – “The Future of Rotary Is In Your Hands” – hestronglyemphasisthatitisimportantindeedforeveryRotarianto play a significant role in shaping the future of Rotary.Every youth and young adult are our potential Rotarian.Hence,everyRotarianisanexampletotheyouthandyoungadult.
Asbusinessleaders,Rotariansarealwaysinauniquepositionto provide vocational guidanceandcareer opportunities to young people.Rotariansalsopromotetheideal of servicetoyoungpeoplethroughInteractclubprograms.
Ultimately, formorethanfourdecades,PuduRotaryClubhassponsored 9 Interact Clubs around the Pudu prefecture. In this avenue of service, for these young people, programssuch as Career Development, Rotary Rotaract Interact Games, Youth Exchange, Community and International Understanding Projects are being organized. Another important program is Rotaract. Every Rotaract is a potential Rotarian, so we should continuously considersupportingandnurturingthemtobeourfutureleadersasourhighest prerogatives.
InourDistrict3300,formorethan36years,PuduRotaryClubhavesponsoredone and the only one community-minded men and women Rotaract Club and these Rotaractorsare involved, energetic, and very committed to the Rotary ideal of service.Youwillfindtheirfresh ideas, andperspectives to be most valuableandtheir presence help energize and inspiredtheClub, ifyouhavetheopportunitytoworkwiththemintheircommunityprojects.
Indeed, they too, have done us proud.
Throughout all the Rotary years, they have achieved many significant recognitions and awardsfromDistrict3300andthemost significant of allwas theyhavebeenawardedastheBest Rotaract ClubandtheBest Fellowship Awards for two consecutive yearslastyear.
