I have been working as interventionist for more than 20 years and I participated in the

development of different tools in this field as laser with Pr Geshwind, left ventricular

assistance during high risk PCI and I am involved in the different main studies

concerning devices or drugs in this field. I participated with M Kern to the development

of coronary physiology in the setting of PCI by assessing stenosis with Doppler and

pressure’s wires.

Besides clinical research, I participate to basic research in the field of endothelial

function, cardio protection and more recently cell therapy.

I am involved in the teaching of interventional cardiology. I launched the training

university program in interventional cardiology in France (Diplôme Interuniversitaire)

and I am still fully engaged in the teaching committee. More recently I participated to

the writing of the European teaching program (curriculum) with Pr Carlo Di Mario

Why should you be elected? (25 lines words max)?

I have an active experience as treasurer (national and International) so I can give time and share this expertise for the EAPCI. I would be honoured to participate to the different teaching programs since I am involved in France and more recently in Europe. I think that a lot of work is necessary to homogenize practice in the different EU countries. While serving in a University, I can share my expertise with the different research programs of the association
