Upcoming Events for Entrepreneurs

Techstars Startup Week is a five day, entrepreneur-led, volunteer-run, community-focused event happening in cities around the world. Startup Week Dayton is back for the fourth year after having more than 1,500 people attend in our first three years. In 2019, the basecamp is once again at the historic Steam Plant on East Third Street, in the heart of Dayton's growing Innovation District. There will also be a series of industry-specific tracks — think medtech, software development, defense, foodpreneurs, artist entrepreneurs — out of locations like The Brightside Music & Event Venue, also on Third Street. On Friday, they're hosting a

community day, with niche sessions held inside local businesses located along Third Street & Wayne Avenue. The real goal of the event is not just to educate you but to help you build a community. It's about celebrating the startup community, welcoming new people, building real relationships, and sharing stories of success and failure. We guarantee there's something here for you, no matter where you are in your business journey. This year they will feature advanced and introductory tracks and, paired with a unique scheduling concept, you will be able to build the conference you want to attend. Would you like more exposure for your small business or organization? Could you use some cash to put behind your mission? Do you have an idea for a project you want to launch in your community? Then #PitchIn is for you! The Entrepreneurs Center (TEC) is launching #PitchIn, a series of community pitch events that will be held across TEC’s eight-county service area. #PitchIn will kick off in the Oregon District. Partnering with the Oregon District Business Association (ODBA), #PitchIn will be held at Wiley’s Comedy Club on Monday,

June 3rd

at 5:30 pm. People living, working, or connected to the Oregon District are invited to apply for the pitch event to share their business or social entrepreneurship idea before a panel of judges for the chance to win competitive prize. #PitchIn attendees can donate to a pool of money and vote on the winner that takes home a second, community-selected prize. Other neighborhood associations and municipalities are invited to attend as well, as this event will just be the first in the series. People interested in applying to pitch should contact Bonnie Kling at [email protected] or apply directly here: https://kim592.typeform.com/to/WAJ0yD.
