VOLA la légende : le mitigeurDans les années 60s, le propriétaire de VOLA, Verner Overgaard eut l’idée d’un nouveau produit révolutionnaire : un mitigeur mural dont les parties mécaniques seraient invisibles. Il choisit l’architecte danois Arne Jacobsen pour le mettre en forme. Le reste appartient à l’histoire.
Le résultat fut l’un des objets du design moderniste le plus iconique jamais produit. L’un de ceux qui est sélectionné pour la collection permanente du Musée D’Art Moderne de New York depuis 1974. Un de ceux qui reste si classique et si insubmersible et qui est toujours l’idole d’aujourd’hui.
