Stakeholder Mapping 2020 Ukhiya & Teknaf Upazila, Cox’s Bazar Bangladesh (Data Collection Period: 30 August—10 September 2020) Despite great coverage in 2020 by messaging on lifesaving issues (COVID-19: 99% people, cyclone preparedness: 98% people) there are variations of level of access to information by sex, age, disability, and other vulnerabilities (JMSNA 2020). Restricted mo- bile and internet connection prevented people from receiving information as well as reporting problems. Reduced footprint of staff/volunteers for COVID-19 reduced agencies capacity of community participation and engagement which remains as the most critical concern. High prevalence of stigma and superstitions, religious or social conservativeness and lack of enough trust on humanitarian actors/services in some cases has exacerbated the situation. Fear for life is a common distress factor which prevents uptake of welfare- inducing behavior. To address this, engaging community-based organizations/civil societies and other stakeholders is critical. Keeping this in mind, CwC WG has initiated a mapping of community stakeholders (CBOs, CSO, Groups, Committees etc.) in the camps and host communities. This dashboard and mapping present key information on different key characteristics of the CBOs/CSOs, issues they are engaged in, the geographic coverage of their work and humanitarian agencies who are engaging with them.
