The playful Mediterranean architecture, cultivated parks and promenade add a special charm to one of the most beautiful parts of the Adriatic.

Bluesun Hotel Kaštelet is located in this admirable ambient. The 4 star hotel was once a villa built by the abbot Klement Grubišić for his guests and his own pleasure back in 1766. Even today, this stone building covered in the cool shades of the palms still captures attention with its beauty.

A romantic getawayThe romantic spirit of the baroque walls, the traditional portals and the atrium with its well are supplemented by a luxurious accommodation in comfortable rooms and suites combining modern comfort with historical heritage. If you open your sea view window in the evening, you will notice that the sounds of people passing by have faded away which will allow you to hear sounds of waves gently hitting the coast.

The Hotel is separated from the sea by a promenade which connects the beaches of Tučepi with the town’s centre.

Don Klement GrubišićDer bekannte Philologe, Schriftsteller und Agronom, errichtete seiner Heimat durch seine wunderschöne barocke Sommerresidenz ein nachhaltiges Denkmal.

In seiner Sommerresidenz ”Kaštelet” verweilten zahlreiche berühmte und gelehrte Personen seiner Zeit. Alberto Fortis hat Ende des XVIII Jahrhunderts in seinem europaweit bekannten Werk „Reise durch Dalmatien“ die Sommerresidenz von Don Klement Grubišić mit den schönsten ländlichen Gebäuden Italiens verglichen.

His”Kaštelet” hosted many renowned and knowledgeable people in his time. At the end of the 18th century, Alberto Fortis compared this fascinating villa in his famous “Travels through Dalmatia” to the most beautiful buildings in Italy.

The tourists that take trips into the countryside encounter an adventure which is not only interesting but is fi lled with unexpected events that helps them to get to know themselves better.This time, the award-winning director, who created hits like ‘Sorry for the kung-fu’, ‘If I were a shark’ and ‘Armin’, managed to involve many exquisite international actors. The Dutch actress Sylvia Kristel, famous for her series of Emannuelle movies, was the most interesting present international actress that intrigued the media and the public.

In addition to the famous Emanuelle, the movie cast will include several other renowned European actors, while Leon Lučev plays the role of the tourist guide.

Sie fi nden sich in unvorhergesehenen und interessanten Situationen wieder, durch die sie sich selber kennen lernen. The Paklenica canyon was once the coulisse for the legendary movie cycle

about the Indian chief Winnetou, based on Karl May’s novels in the period 1962-1968.

Every year, we have an event called “Following the steps of Winnetou” to keep these memories fresh. This year it also includes an exhibition. Many documentary photos from the shooting, original tools, equipment, costumes, and the original bedrooms that still look the same as in the time when the moviemakers were staying there. This all awaits you at the former motel that became a memorial centre dedicated to Winnetou. This also became a part of the Starigrad history.

Der Canon von Paklenica diente als Kulisse für den legendären Filmzyklus

über den indianischen Häuptling Winnetou, der nach den Romanen des deutschen Schriftstellers Karl May im Zeitraum zwischen 1962 und 1968 gedreht wurde.

Dank der Manifestation „Auf den Spuren des Winnetous“ wird jedes Jahr das Andenken an diese Zeit geehrt. Dieses Jahr wurde im Rahmen dieser Manifestation eine Ausstellung eröffnet. Die Ausstellung umfasst zahlreiche Dokumentarfotos über den Drehverlauf, Originalrequisite und Kostüme, so wie die Originalschlafzimmer, die genau so aussah, wie zur Zeit als die Mitglieder der Filmcrew in ihnen schliefen. Das alles befi ndet sich in einem Teil des ehemaligen Motels, das zu einem dem Häuptling Winnetou gewidmeten Gedenkraum umgewandelt wurde, aber zugleich auch die Geschichte der Tourismusentwicklung von Starigrad darstellt.

One of the most popular Croatian movies of all time „Što je muškarac bez brkova“ directed and produced by Hrvoje Hribar, was fi lmed

based on the novel by a famous writer from Split Ante Tomić. During the shooting of the fi lm, the moviemakers stayed at the Alan Bluesun hotel in Starigrad Paklenica, that was also included in several movie scenes. The premiere was at the Zagreb Film Festival, where it received the best fi lm award that is decided by the audience, while Zrinka Cvitešić received the

Heart of Sarajevo as the best actress in a leading role.

Hrvoje Hribar “Was ist ein Man ohne Schnurbart”

Der meistgesehene kroatische Film aller Zeiten „Was ist ein Man ohne Schnurbart“ des Regisseurs und Produzenten Hrvoje Hribar,

According to ancient legend, after the siege of Troy, the Trojan hero Antenor came to Ambracia, the Greek colony that gave the name to the whole island (Brač). He brought Braho – the shepherd; Elaf – the sailor, who built Elaphusa, a village near Bol; and Silen – the farmer, who planted the fi rst vine and olives but also left an unknown cocoon that later turned into a cricket. Antenor, together with his Enets, sailed from Brač to the West where, according to legends, they founded Venice.
