Reducing the cost of system and software design
Facts
System and software design is getting more complex
New standards are emerging (SysML, MARTE).
Challenges
Lower the cost of system and software design
Take into account:
• Requirement engineering
• Real time constraints
• Safety/reliability constraints
Solutions
A tool suite named PAPYRUS.
Papyrus is based on the Eclipse platform.
Papyrus properly implements standards like MARTE or SYSML.

Reducing the cost of system and software design
Facts
Smart grid requires high availability equipments
Software plays a stronger role in the grid equipments.
Challenges
Some parts of the software are critical and should be
bug free and cyber attack protected
Solutions
We propose a framework named Frama-C.
It is currently in use for critical aeronautical software.
It enables a validation of software and not on product
which eases the integration of COTS software.
