ACHIEVEMENTS•Launched first Patch.com website in Georgia (Lilburn Patch; Nov. 2010) as part of AOL’s expanding hyperlocal news startup. Quickly advanced to positions of Associate Region Editor and Region Editor as Patch grew to 46 news sites in Georgia. As of Nov. 2015, 19 local sites under my direction were generating more than 1.2 million page views per month.•Managed mid-sized staffs at several companies. With 12 Patch local editors and 15 sites under my direction our team reached UV (unique views) eight straight months (2012-13).•“Patch on the Back” award winner for region UV gains. In April 2012, nine of 12 local websites (and their editors) reached individual UV goals.•Winner of eight Georgia Outdoors Writers and two Georgia Sports Writers awards, including the state’s top recreation sports story in 2000, and three AJC Best of Quarter recognitions as a staffer at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. On the Water Guides

In 2009-10, I collaborated with a longtime friend to produce “On the Water Fishing Guides,” a take-with-you weatherproof aid for outdoors enthusiasts.I wrote, edited and designed the product, as well as similar products for Phelps Innovations.I utilized Adobe In-Design, In-Copy and Photoshop.

Editing & PlanningAs an assignment editor in Sports, I directed several special packages, including preseason all-start in football and basketball. In “Friday Knights” (left), I coordinated the photo shoot with Medieval Times. In “Above & Beyond” (right), the shoot included the top boys and girls players on a trampoline.

I’ve enjoyed opportunities to incorporate alternative story forms (examples right). “Football Feast, “ which previewed football games as if they were on a Thanksgiving Day menu. “Boys of Spring” highlight local baseball players playing in MLPB spring training.
