‘King Louis in Peril’the 6th ‘Three Musketeers’ adventure from ‘Bayko

• Cardinal Richelieu’s hunting lodge

• The ‘Eminence Rouge’ has royal guests

• Queen Anne and the new-born Dauphin, Louis, take the coach, while the King and his latest ‘companion’ ride behind

• Meanwhile the musketeers get their usual welcome from the Cardinal’s Guards

• Chanel kneels to bless his latest victim – our heroes are in a hurry, they have news of a planned attack led by the Duc De Rohan

• The crack of musketry warns they may already be too late – the king swings his mount and spurs away

• The rebels surge around the coach – but our heroes are also arriving

• The Queen and prince are plucked to safety but there is no way the four heroes can hold the enemy back

• They give ground – Pathos is shot, Chanel run through and only the crush of enemies keeps the others from being shot

• The Cardinal’s troops arrive and suddenly the rebels are on the run

The Queen sees her wounded heroes carried off to her personal surgeon

• A week on and the four are back on their feet – acclaimed by the court and King while the Cardinal broods….
