Les bons réflexesLes programmes de la spécialité « Langues, littératures et cultures étrangères et régionales » poursuivent un double objectif :◼ Explorer la langue, la littérature et la culture de manière approfondie◼ Développer le goût de lireLe niveau visé à la fi n de l’année est le niveau C1 du CECRL et la spécialité sera également abordée lors de la session du Grand Oral.Pour atteindre ces objectifs, il faut, comme un sportif, s’entraîner toute l’année. Voici quelques conseils pour aborder sereinement votre entraînement.

DÈS LE DÉBUT D’ANNÉE

w Préparez les bons outilsLe niveau C1 est un niveau « d’utilisateur expérimenté ». On attend donc de vous une richesse et une aisance dans le maniement de la langue.◼ Constituez des listes de vocabulaire en pensant à noter des synonymes, antonymes, périphrases pour enrichir votre vocabulaire.◼ Pensez à utiliser des logiciels comme quizzlet pour vous entraîner et des dictionnaires en ligne pour voir comment se prononcent les mots.◼ Repérez les points de grammaire qui vous posaient problème en 1re et prévoyez de les travailler plus particulièrement à l’aide du Précis grammatical.

w Repérez les thématiques qui vous « parlent »En Tle, vous allez traiter trois thématiques :

« Arts et débats d’idées »- Axe 1 : Art et contestation- Axe 2 : L’art qui fait débat- Axe 3 : L’art du débat

« Expression et construction de soi »- Axe 1 : L’expression des émotions- Axe 2 : Mise en scène de soi- Axe 3 : Initiation, apprentissage

« Voyages, territoires, frontières »- Axe 1 : Exploration et aventure- Axe 2 : Ancrage et héritage- Axe 3 : Migration et exil

Votre manuel reprend cette organisation. Feuilletez les unités, vous pouvez ainsi déjà voir si une thématique vous motive plus et donc réfl échir au dossier que vous présenterez à l’examen oral.

w AnticipezVous allez étudier deux œuvres complètes et un fi lm dans l’année. Anticipez et faites des recherches sur l’auteur des textes littéraires et le contexte des œuvres ; pour le fi lm, regardez le trailer et renseignez-vous sur d’autres fi lms du même réalisateur.

w Soyez curieux ! Ouvrez votre manuel et lisez les textes, regardez les images et les vidéos qui vous intéressent.

Septembre – maiTOUT AU LONG DE L’ANNÉE

w Pratiquez en dehors de la classeL’anglais est une langue vivante. Vous avez à disposition nombre de séries, de fi lms, de videos et autres tutos sur youtube en V.O. Le simple fait de les visionner améliore votre niveau. Vous pouvez commencer à les regarder avec des sous-titres en anglais, puis directement en V.O. au fur et à mesure de l’année.

w Pensez à l’oralL’oral occupe une place importante dans votre évaluation. On ne peut pas improviser. Pour être un bon orateur, il convient de pratiquer régulièrement. Cela se fait en participant et aussi en s’entraînant régulièrement seul ou en petit groupe, pendant les cours ou hors de la classe.

w Familiarisez-vous avec les nouveaux exercicesL’examen propose un travail de synthèse et un exercice de traduction. Ce sont de nouveaux types d’activité pour vous. Là encore, la régularité prime. Vous trouverez de nombreux conseils et activités dans votre manuel (cf. pages suivantes).

AVANT LES ÉPREUVES

w Capitalisez sur vos connaissancesAvant l’examen, vous allez avoir l’impression d’avoir tout oublié. C’est normal. Pour vous rassurer, reportez-vous aux fi ches et aux listes que vous avez élaborées. Une simple (re)lecture vous permettra de bien mémoriser et réviser.

w Mettez en forme votre dossierVous devez présenter un dossier à l’oral. Pensez à la mise en forme. Plus elle sera claire, plus il vous sera facile de présenter votre dossier. Pensez à l’œuvre complète que vous allez intégrer.

w Évaluez votre prestationPour l’oral, n’hésitez pas à vous enregistrer ou fi lmer ou, mieux encore, organisez des petits groupes de travail avec vos camarades. Cela vous permettra de repérer vos erreurs de langue et de formulation, ainsi que d’ajuster votre débit et votre prestation.

Defending your opinion Use your knowledge to go further

� show you master your question: support your arguments with new references, quotes, analogies, statistics etc.

� build on what has been said with new points: use the key words of the questions to broaden your arguments

� focus on what is at stake: always refer back to your initial question and reasoning

Structure your argument

� use opposing views to underline the strength of your arguments

� don’t explain the same thing twice: use multiple examples from diverse sources
