This robust security solution—ideally suited for sites with lessthan 100 employees—offers IPSec VPN, six Gigabit LAN ports, dualWAN Gigabit ports and advanced capabilities such as Quality of Service(QoS) and VLAN support. Meeting the bandwidth and performancedemands of today’s fast-paced business environment, the powerfulplatform of the OfficeConnect Gigabit VPN Firewall also ensures it isprepared to meet future needs.

This VPN Firewall supports IP security (IPSec) as well as PPTP and L2TPprotocols, giving you flexibility in the choice of VPN communications.

PERFORMANCE

The 3Com OfficeConnect Gigabit VPN Firewall can initiate and terminate up to 50 simultaneous VPNs forboth site-to-site and user-to-site communication and allows up to 253 users to share secure access to theInternet through a single connection.

With throughput of up to 500 Mbps for the firewall, and up to 60 Mbps VPN IPSec throughput, the high-performance OfficeConnect Gigabit VPN Firewall supports time-sensitive applications, keeping informationmoving and employees productive. The Gigabit platform is designed to handle the bandwidth demands fortoday's large data, voice and multimedia files.

Dual WAN ports support two broadband connections to help ensure minimal business disruptions, providingload-balancing for maximum throughput and efficiency or failover in the event that the primary ISP connectionfails. The fanless, self-cooling design provides quiet operation, making this product suitable for desktop deploy-ment.

The firewall is designed to be easy to use for the novice user, yet flexible enough for more complicated config-urations. The intuitive graphical Web user interface makes installation and configuration quick and easy.Multiple management options provide the flexibility to fine tune security levels where required. A VPN is a private network that uses a public network (usually the Internet) toconnect remote sites or users together.
