Dear Friends

It is my great pleasure to extend my personal regards to all members of NZC – USI and wish you a very happy festive season ahead.

With NZC USICON 2010 at Gurgaon, I complete my tenure of two years as Hony. Secretary, NZC USI and feel proud to be associated in the times of the organizational uplift with this esteemed organization. More so, since organizing registration with Registrar Societies in 2003 and than on serving as Council Member, Hony. Treasurer and Hony. Secretary in subsequent years. The guidance of seniors and cooperation of contemporaries had been exemplary to see this day, when USI torch bearers, in its appreciation, have also acknowledged the efforts of NZC- USI as lead Zonal Chapter amongst all.Duringthespanofcurrentyearwehadbonanzaofacademicandscientificactivities including great success story of Agra USICON 2010, Mid Term CUEs at Jhansi and Varanasi and Mock Examination of USI at AIIMS, New Delhi.MytenuregivesmegreatfeelingoffulfillmentwhenIseethatweareable to take our Annual NZC-USICON to the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (Shimla) and Jammu for their debut conferences. These states are now on the map of Annual NZC – USICONs.

In PDAP-India, a lead program of USI, NZC-USI, with in the span of two years has leaped many steps forward, where other zones are now also endeavoring to excel, to be the effective part of this USI initiative. Our scientificprogramstandstotallyrevampedandnowisputtotestinGurgaonconference. NZC- USI has a mission venturing to create leadership, awareness and academic zeal to uplift the Urological fraternity in the medical world.

With the efforts of USI Head Quarter Committee team members and as thenominatedNodalOfficerforthepurpose,byNorthZoneChapter–USI,Iam happy to share with you that long awaited dream of creation of USI Head QuarterandEducationCentreisfinallyfulfilledbyfinalizingadealforUSIHead Quarter in ‘Central Delhi’ region in the Northern India to make NZC-USI proud.

Already around 300 delegates have registered and many more are registering every day. 117 papers and videos are accepted which is more than previous year. Industry has shown exemplary interest. We have added, for thefirsttimeintheprogram,Men’sHealthSymposia, whichistheneedofthecurrent era and mostly neglected area. Renowned international faculty shall make it worth participating.

Finally wishing for the Grand Success of 20th NZC-USICON – 2010 in Gurgaon, which is 1st time annual conference in Haryana and this shall give us opportunity to interact with National and International faculty. I am sure that the guidance of Prof. N P Gupta and hard work of Dr S P Yadav is on for long time memories down the lane.

Dear MembersHappy Diwali and Seasons Greetings

This is last newsletter of the present council. Our annual conference is nearing

Dr. SP Yadav and his team is working hard to make it a grand success.

This year’s scientific programme consistsof wider the aspects of urology right from basic sciences to clinical urology to what next in Urology. I am sure every one attending the meeting will have material of his taste.

Important issue I want to address is that the newer technologies and their variations are coming in very big way and we professionals get carried away by the glittering statements suggesting that the particular tool is ultimate for us , as for as technical comfort, better results and financialgainsareconcerned.Partlytheymayberight but we should also evaluate the technology taking care of our common man’s financialstrength. To make the technology affordable to common man we can make doctors cooperative so that many user of same equipment can bring the end user cost in most affordable range.

The elections for newer executive council will also be held at Gurgaon. My sincere suggestion is not to politicise these elections so that we make friends and gain strength.

Hope to see you at Gurgaon

With best wishesTruly Yours
