Non-EGR units are running extremely clean, as a
result DPFs are expected to passively regen
-DPF Cleaning “As Needed” not “Maintenance”
Optional operator interface
-Turned on in generic cals however optional to use in chassis.
-No requirement for waiver of DPF lamp/switch omissions.
Oil and Fuel filter change intervals will be evaluated on
an application or fuel consumed basis
-Targeting options for extended intervals up to 1K hours.
-May require larger option filter and high capacity pan, TBD.
Crankcase breather service interval removed

Telematics - Preliminary
Telematics will be offered for Cummins Stage V
programs
– This will require OEMs to select their Telematics provider and
then work with Cummins to interface with the supplier
• There is a process defined that will need to take place between the
Telematics provider and integrating with the Cummins interface
– The intended Telematics offerings are:
• Diagnostics analysis
• Remote Calibration Downloads
• Remote Calibration Tuning
