panoramah!® is a state-of-the-art sliding aluminium casement system that explores the structural properties of glass, enabling the execution of large glazed areas with the use of vertical, minimal (slender) aluminium profiles, resulting in great elegance. Unlike traditional casement systems, glass is panoramah!®’s self-supporting main component, while the aluminium frame takes on the secondary function of guiding its sliding motion, providing additional structural reinforcement and ensuring the window’s sealing capacity.

The mechanical and structural properties of panoramah!® window panes take away the need for all peripheral elements that compose traditional window systems by embedding the casement in construction elements such as walls, floor and ceiling, thus enabling an expanded and visually unobstructed perspective. Its 20mm vertical profiles keep a consistent, unifying and almost imperceptible connection between glass panes, simultaneously allowing for perfect weather proofing whilst fully maximising the glazed surface area.

From the system’s point of view, panoramah!® sliding windows’ dimensions are only constrained by the industrial production capacity limit in glass processing. Their design, assembly and fine-tuned mechanical hardware allow for the perfect handling of up to 29m2 sliding glass panels. These structurally bonded glass/aluminium sliding units are kept balanced and centred over a patented rail system, comprised out of a double bearing removable profile, placed inside of the external casement.

These extremely robust, 1mtr long bearing profiles support loads of up to 1800 kg/ml and are very easily maintained or replaced, making panoramah!® a highly dependable, durable and performing product.

panoramah!® profiles can support an unlimited number of panes made out of up to 60mm, double or triple glazed units, which can even be motorised. Matching even the most demanding international technical requirements, the window frame is built by means of a structural link between anodised aluminium and reinforced polyamides, avoiding thermal bridging in all components. Verified and regularly tested in accredited laboratories, panoramah!®’s triple glazed units allow for truly exceptional thermal (up to 0.8 W/m2.K) and acoustic (up to 44dB) performance.

In addition to the undoubted added value and performance of the panoramah!® window technology, the system offers the typological flexibility of opening skylights, sash, pivot and tilt-and-turn products that also guarantee exceptional technical and aesthetic performance. This ensures the formal and architectural coherence of all opening systems in a design project.

À l’inverse des systèmes traditionnels, la vitre est le composant principal de panoramah!® et se supporte elle-même, tandis que l’aluminium assume une fonction secondaire de guide de glissage, de renfort structurel ponctuel et qui garantit l’étanchéité de la fenêtre.

Les propriétés mécaniques et structurelles de la vitre panoramah!® permettent, ainsi, de retirer tous les éléments périphériques de la composition des systèmes des fenêtres traditionnelles, par le biais de l’intégration de la menuiserie dans les éléments de construction, tels que les murs, le sol et le plafond, en permettant une perspective illimitée et sans interruption. Les 20mm du profil vertical sont les seuls éléments visibles, presque imperceptibles, entre les panneaux vitrés, et qui permettent la parfaite imperméabilité du système, en augmentant la surface de la vitre dans sa plénitude.

Dans la perspective du système, les fenêtres coulissantes panoramah! possèdent des dimensions illimitées, cependant conditionnées par la capacité de production industrielle de la transformation du verre. Leur design, leur constitution et leur mode de fonctionnement permettent une exécution et une manipulation parfaites des panneaux coulissants, pouvant atteindre des surfaces allant jusqu’à 29m² par élément. Ces panneaux coulissants, constitués par un collage structurel verre/ aluminium, coulissent

sur un système breveté, composé par un rail avec roulements doubles qui centrent automatiquement les vitrages et qui sont placés sur un profil adapté, amovible, à l’intérieur du dormant périmétral extérieur. Leur extrême robustesse (les profils d’un mètre de long peuvent supporter des charges allant jusqu’à 1800 kg/ml) et la facilité de maintenance/ remplacement font de ce système, un système extrêmement fiable, robuste et avec une excellente performance.

Les profils panoramah!® supportent des doubles et triples vitrages allant jusqu’à 60mm d’épaisseur et au nombre de panneaux illimité, ces derniers pouvant être motorisés. Répondant aux exigences techniques les plus rigoureuses, la structure de la fenêtre est construite par le biais d’une liaison structurelle en aluminium anodisé et en polyamides renforcées, ce qui garantit la rupture totale du pont thermique dans tous les composants. Les baies panoramah!®, testées régulièrement et contrôlées dans des laboratoires certifiés, permettent de conjuguer des performances thermiques (jusqu’à 0,8W/m².K) et acoustiques (jusqu’à 44dB) vraiment exceptionnelles.

En plus de l’incontestable valeur ajoutée et de la performance de la technologie des fenêtres panoramah!®, le système offre une flexibilité typologique avec ses différents systèmes d’ouverture: de toit, par guillotine, pivotante, battante et oscillo-battante. Au cours des 10 dernières années, les systèmes de fenêtres minimalistes ont évolué pour répondre à des normes thermiques strictes comme Passivhaus ou Minergie-P. Le vitrage isolant utilisé dans ces systèmes est passé de double (2 vitrages) à triple ou même quadruple, et l’épaisseur des vitrages est passé d’environ 26 mm à 60mm et plus. Dans notre cas, la série ah!26 (créé en 2008 et nommée d’après l’épaisseur du vitrage) a été suivie des versions 38, 54 et 60mm (2016).

Les menuiseries des systèmes de fenêtres minimalistes se sont ainsi éloignées des volontés primordiales de l’Architecture Moderne: la lumière et la transparence! Les œuvres d’architectes modernes - comme Le Corbusier ou Richard Neutra -, et contemporains – comme Tadao Ando ou Eduardo Souto de Moura -, mettent en évidence l’importance de réduire les matériaux à leur expression minimale.

En collaborant étroitement avec des architectes de renommée internationale et en employant environ 50 architectes et ingénieurs, panoramah!® a compris qu’un changement important était urgent sur le marché des fenêtres minimalistes afin de revenir aux bases du minimalisme, tout en respectant les normes thermiques les plus élevées atteintes par sa série ah!60.

La solution que panoramah!® a soumise au Red Dot Award est basée sur les vitrages isolants sous-vides. Cette technologie permet d’offrir la performance thermique d’un quadruple vitrage avec seulement un vitrage d’une épaisseur de 12mm, ce qui permet la diminution proportionnelle de la structure globale de la menuiserie en aluminium, et donc d’atteindre un système extrêmement mince. De plus, en utilisant les vitrages sous-vides, les éléments verticaux de la menuiserie se réduisent à 15mm, ce qui est inférieur aux systèmes originaux de fenêtre minimaliste avec double vitrage traditionnel.

In the last 10 years the minimal window systems evolved to meet strict thermal standards like Passivhaus or Minergie-P. The IGU’s (Insulated Glass Unit) used in these systems moved from double (2 glasses) to triple and quadruple, and the IGU thickness sky-rocketed from an average 26mm to 60mm or more. In our case, the ah!26 (named after the thickness of the IGU, created in 2008) was followed by 38, 54 and finally 60mmversions (2016).

Minimal window systems got bulkier and drifted away from the premises pursued by Modern architecture – light and transparency. The works of Modernist architects like Corbusier, Neutra and Souto de Moura, show how important it is to reduce materials to their minimal possible expression.

With a strong link to world class architects and employing about 50 architects and engineers, panoramah!® realized that a strong shift was needed in the minimal windows market in order to return to the basics of minimalism, while maintaining the highest thermal standards achieved by its ah!60.

The solution that panoramah!® submitted to the Red Dot Award is based on the Vacuum Glass. This technology allows 12mm thick glass to achieve quadruple glass performance and by reducing glass thickness the overall aluminium structure of the window diminishes proportionally, resulting in an extremely slim system. Also, by using Vacuum glass, the vertical sightlines are reduced to an astonishing 15mm, even less than the initial systems based on standard double glass.

It offers great flexibility in the modular composition of openings, including opening corner solutions, pocket sliding configurations, curved layouts, tilted spans and retractable mosquito nets. The alternatives come in a wide range of formats such as sliding, sash, pivot and tilt-turn units. ah!38 also includes a variety of add-ons, finishes and it can be completely automated. It is a system that allows double glazed surface areas of up to 19m², or triple glazed of up to 6m². Both options use 20mm vertical profiles.

This double-glazed product can achieve surfaces of up to 6m2 and uses 18mm vertical profiles.

This technology allows 12mm thick glass to achieve quadruple glass performance and by reducing glass thickness the overall aluminium structure of the window diminishes proportionally, resulting in an extremely slim system. Also, by using Vacuum glass, the vertical sightlines are reduced to an astonishing 15mm, even less than the initial systems based on standard double glass. This system can achieve surfaces of up to 5m2.

For added security the system can be fitted with an integrated opening and locking monitoring and connected to standard external monitoring systems.

According to system configurations, concealed electric drives and locks can be used to increase operating comfort. Automatic locking (Remote Control, Home Automation Adaptation and Electromagnetic) and manual locking options are available.

Our motorisation system can be adapted to all panoramah!® sliding or opening systems allowing a full integration with minimum interference in architectural design with a simplified and very quiet opening. The system is fully hidden in the top, bottom or sides of panoramah!® frames requiring a height of 150mm of installation space.

A single motor with V-belt can operate several sliding leaves with combined weight of up to 2000kg silently. This allows the telescopic-opening of wide expanses of glass façades. It has an automatic electrical closure which is compatible with all home automation opening systems: electronic lock, push button, security cells. It also has a safety stop for obstacle detection.

panoramah!® components are highly resistant and durable. In order to guarantee that their functioning and finishing do not degrade over time it is vital to put in place a simple maintenance plan. Aluminium, glass and other system components are naturally exposed and subjected to prevailing conditions – rain, sun, wind, humidity – which cause continuous wear and can lead to deterioration. However, regular maintenance care with non-abrasive products is sufficient to prolong the life of all window components. For repair or cleaning purposes the clip-on roller bearing 1mtr segments can be easily removed from the drainage channel and refitted or replaced, if necessary.

Les composants panoramah!® présentent une grande résistance et une bonne durabilité. Il est cependant important d’assurer une maintenance préventive afin de garantir le fait que leur fonctionnement et leur finition ne se dégradent pas au fil du temps. L’aluminium, le verre et les autres composants du système sont naturellement exposés et soumis à certaines conditions, pluie, soleil, vent et humidité, entre autres, qui provoquent un dégât continu et qui peuvent causer une détérioration. Des soins réguliers de maintenance, avec des produits non abrasifs, sont suffisants pour prolonger la longévité de tous les composants. Les rails des roulements peuvent également être replacés - ils sont amovibles par segments d’un mètre - permettant ainsi un nettoyage facile des canaux de drainage et / ou le remplacement de ces derniers.
