    The HSBC Main Building, Hong Kong is a headquarters building ofThe Hong kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, whichis a wholly owned subsidiary of London based HSBC Holdings. It islocated along the southern side of Statue Square near the location ofthe old City Hall, Hong Kong (built in 1869, demolished in 1933).

    The previous HSBC building was built in 1935 and pulled down tomake way for the current building. The address remains as 1Queens Road Central, Central. The building can be reached from

    Exit K of Central MTR Station and facing Statue Square.

    The Bank of China Tower (abbreviated BOC Tower) is one of themost recognisable skyscrapers in Admiralty, Hong Kong. It housesthe headquarters for the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The

    building is located at 1 Garden Road, in Central and WesternDistrict on Hong Kong Island.Designed by I. M. Pei, the building is315.0 m (1,033.5 ft) high with two masts reaching 367.4 m (1,205.4ft) high. It was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1989to 1992, and it was the first building outside the United States to

    break the 305 m (1,000 ft) mark. It is now the fourth tallestskyscraper in Hong Kong, after International Commerce Centre,

    Two International Finance Centre and Central Plaza.

    The Lippo Centre is a pair of twin office towers in Hong Kong,previously known as the Bond Center .The buildings are locatedat 89 Queensway, in Admiralty on Hong Kong Island. They were

    taken over by the Lippo Group after the collapse of the BondCorporation. The height of the taller tower is 186m. The

    buildings, completed in 1988, were dubbed The Koala Treebecause they resemble koalas clutching a tree. The buildings weredesigned by American architect Paul Rudolph,[2] who strove to

    relieve the traditional severity of skyscraper walls by designingclusters of obtruding windows.

    CENTRAL GOVERNMENT COMPLEX!By Gammon-Hip Hing Group !Central Government Complex, Tamar is the new location for the offices of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The new government building useseither Chinese nor Europeangovernment building designs, but instead it is a mix ofpostmodern architecture and low-frills international design. Located at the Tamar site, thecomplex houses the Office of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, the Legislative Council of Hong Kongand the Central Government Offices. This winning design was from theGammon-Hip Hing group and scheduled to be completed in 2010. Construction is due to begin in mid-February 2008, for completion in 2011. It will engage more than 3,000

    workers!

    venues in Hong Kong, along with AsiaWorld-Expo. It islocated in Wan Chai North, Hong Kong Island. Built alongthe Victoria Harbour, it is linked by covered walkways to

    nearby hotels and commercial buildings. The venue wasdesigned by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, in association

    with Wong & Ouyang (HK) Ltd. Larry Oltmanns led the

    design, who is a former Design Partner with Skidmore,Owings & Merrill LLP.

    The International Finance Centre (abbr. IFC, branded as ifc) isan integrated commercial development on the waterfront of Hong

    Kong

    s Central District. A prominent landmark on Hong KongIsland, IFC consists of two skyscrapers, the IFC Mall, and the 55-story Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. Tower 2 is the second

    tallest building in Hong Kong, behind the InternationalCommerce Centre in West Kowloon. It is the fourth-tallest

    building in the Greater China region and the eighth-tallest office

    building in the world, based on structural heights; by roof height,only the Taipei 101, Shanghai World Financial Center, Willis

    Tower, International Commerce Centre and Burj Khalifa exceed

    it. It is of similar height to the former World Trade Center. TheAirport Express Hong Kong Station is directly beneath it.

    The International Commerce Centre is a 108 floor, 484 m(1,588ft)skyscraper completed in 2010 inWest Kowloon,Hong Kong. It isa part of the Union Squareproject built on top of Kowloon Station. Thedevelopment is owned and jointly developed by MTR CorporationLimited and Sun Hung Kai Properties, Hong Kong's metro operator andlargest property developer respectively. It is currently the world's fourthtallest building by height,world's second tallest building by floors, as well asthe tallest building in Hong Kong. Its formal development name is UnionSquare Phase 7 and the name International Commerce Centre wasofficially announced in 2005. International Commerce Centre was completedin phases from 2007 to 2010. The tower opened in 2011, with the Ritz-

    Carlton opening in late March and the observatory in early April. Sun HungKai Properties also developed, along with another major Hong Kongdeveloper, Henderson Land, the second-tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong,the 2 International Finance Centre, which is located directly acrossVictoriaHarbourinCentral,Hong Kong Island.

    The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) website. As a leading provider of design education in the region, the HKDI is committed to offeringexcellent learning opportunities to keep pace with the growing demand of the creative industries. It was designed by French architects Coldefy &

    Associs, Architectes Urbanistes features a glazed box raised seven storeys above the ground on four lattice-steel towers that rest on a sloping, grass-

    covered podium. The institute will educate up to 4,000 students. CAAU won the project at a competition held in 2006. The institute, which opened

    in November last year, has an urban park on top while the podium conceals four auditoriums, a cafe, a sports hall, a gallery and a flexible event space.A 6om escalator ascends from street level to the suspended box.

    Vanke Headq uarte rs take s care to userenewable and recyclable materials. All thedoors, floors and furniture are made from

    bamboo, which is easily available in the areaand quickly renewable, and the carpetsthroughout the building are made from

    completely recycled material. Special windowsare designed to keep the building cool by

    blocking solar heat while still allowing plentyof sunlight, lowering the cost of airconditioning. In addition, the VankeHeadquarters roof is covered by solar panels,

    which will provide up to 15 percent of theoffices electricity.
