MISSOURI October 29, 1954 To the Member Hanks in the Eighth Federal Reserve District: In accordance with the provisions of Section 4 of the Federal Reserve Act and my circular dated Sep- tember 17. in regard to the election of a C'lass A director and a C'lass B director of this bank to succeed those whose terms expire on December 31 of this year, and the election of a Class B director to serve for the unex- pired portion of the term ending on December 31. 1955, there are shown on the following pages the names of the candidates nominated for such directors, indicating by whom nominated. There is sent herewith to each bank in C'.roup 1 a preferential ballot for use in voting on the candidate for Class B director to take office January 1. 1955 for a full term. To each bank in Group 2 there are sent preferential ballots for use in voting on the candidate for Class A director to take office on January 1, 1955 for a full term, and the candidate for C'lass B director to take office immediately upon election and serve for the unexpired portion of the term ending December 31, 1955. The ballot and certificate on the envelope must be executed by an officer who has been authorized to cast the vote.
