CLIENT: DHA Lahore

AREA: 16 Acres

OBJECTIVE:

A space full of special environments evoking delights of unexpected discoveries which uplift ones spirit after a long journey. Thus designed a Five Star Hotel as a nice resting place which can refresh the visitors by creating shifts in his awareness and giving them an awe inspiring surprise.

For this project I selected a site which is a part of a 400 Acre Golf Course accompanied by residential area to enhance the design of the Hotel Building with beauty & serenity of Mother Nature.

DESIGN CONCEPT:

The design concept revolves around translation of a natural pattern into the built environment so it includes metaphorical as well as structural similitude with the plants growing form.

In most plant species new growth propagates from central regions called shoot apical meristems. The study of these patterns is known as phyllotaxis.

The Evolution of the form of the Hotel is extracted from the geometrical patterns found in nature so that it blends benignly in the beautiful lush green landscape.

I have based the structural design of different elements in my 3d such as mullions, form of skylight and form of columns etc. on the spiral phyllotaxis pattern to give a structural similitude.

LANDSCAPING VIEWS

As the Concept of the design revolves around nature so I have tried to incorporate a lot of landscaping areas in the design of Hotel. For example as the visitor enters the main lobby he can enjoy a view of a sunken garden.

Roof Gardens are also provided to enhance the experience of outdoor seating arrangements and activities.

INTERIOR DESIGN:

Contemporary interior spaces are being designed so that the Hotel can cater the international standards. Grand Entrance Lobby with a spectacular garden view is designed specially for an extra ordinary welcoming effect for the visitors.

Moreover the design of the restaurants are based on the themes of elements of life that is earth, water, fire and air.

Different thematic suites are also provided with different room numbers and interior designs for the visitors.

Emphasis of design was to create dramatic experiences giving an ambiance of a High-tech building. Form of the buildings includes a sequence of rhythmical spaces which are placed according to their preferences in the plan. User friendly environment has been provided with special semi covered indoor courtyards.

Exteriors and the False elements for example the design of windows and their louvers are being inspired from the basic equipment's used for creating a Media Programs i.e. Lights, Camera and Technology.
