We welcome children and grown ups to the exhibition HERE or THERE?WINTER HOLIDAYS in Orońsko

JANUARY20.01. – Zin or book?VISITING: For fledgling readers, illustrations are an additional motivation to uncover the sto-ry. A visit to the exhibition Here or There? will encourage you to interact with books and will explain the complex process of their production. WORKSHOP: Using the techniques of letter-press printing, the participants will produce their own, small artistic publications

FEBRUARY3.02. – Ornamental initialsVISITING: Ornamental initials, eye-catching headings and other decorative elements ap-pearing in books performed a very important function. The initial provides an emphasis of a graphically separate text by giving the first let-ter a different look.WORKSHOP: During the classes we will de-sign the initial of our own name and make it in clay. The works will be baked in a ceramic kiln and handed out to participants during the next Sunday workshop

17.02. – Theatre with picturesVISITING: The diversity of the world of illustra-tions becomes an inspiration for many domains of art. During the visiting we will check if a text may harmonize with an image outside the book.WORKSHOP: The participants will learn the Japanese technique of theatrical animation ka-mishibai and produce their own illustrated sto-ries

MARCH3.03. – From cover to coverVISITING: Children willingly reach out to ‘pic-ture books’. Because of that artists create com-pelling stories told in a language of illustration. WORKSHOP: During the workshop we will try to make original covers to fairy-take comic books, using collage technique

Specially prepared educational offer for organized groups and a number of attractive one-off events, also open to individual visitors.
